Has Anyone Else Noticed This Krater?

While performing a manned orbital mission around the Mun today, I noticed that one of the craters had a distinct K-shape when viewed from afar (it vanishes when you approach it).

Here's a picture.

And another closer up.

Has this been reported before? I haven't been able to find any threads on this topic. The two letters seemingly spell out "K C", although upon closer inspection, the K seems to be a I taped to the back of a C. The two craters also seem to be among the deepest craters on the Mun. It's possible that this could be apart of a message, split up into letters that are distributed on craters throughout the Kerbol system and scrambled for the forumer to make out.

That would most certainly be fun.

It obviously means that Kerbals are not alone in the universe. You cannot prove that the "K" was not made by an ancient alien race before Kerbal recorded history. You also cannot prove that when the "K" is eventually facing the "smiley" below the sea that the Elder Kerbals shall not arise from the Great Archipelago to lead Kerbal-kind into a brave, new world (where TAC food is green and smells like Jeb's aunt).

To be honest, I noticed that a long while ago, but I just thought of it to be an unintentional geological feature. But now that you've suggested that there may be more letters scattered across planets, I'm getting very curious. Looks like I'm gonna be checking out Moho for letters...

I don't have a pic handy, but I remember (a couple versions ago, probably still there) that near the Munar south pole is the word "top".

Checked and it looks sort of like it. It's sort of vague due to the lighting, however.

Yes I can.

The Mun K is not facing Kerbin. It is on the side. The Mun is *PERFECTLY* tidally locked.

You're joking, but at one point there actually was a plan to add a narrative about precursor aliens who created the Kerbals, but it got scrapped for some reason.

I still wonder how they didn't carve out a living on Laythe. They built all this, they obivously were capable of interplanetary travel. What happened to all their space missions when their homeworld was destroyed? What about their astronauts, their offworld colonies? What about them?

I'm glad it was acutally, it's a little cliche, and ruins some of the fun of being the first to land there. It distracts from the space exploration, and I like kerbal better without a set story.

It reminds me of when I was playing the first Spectrobes, and got the ancient spacecraft working. It was a little disappointing to find the out of reach planets covered with signs of past inhabitance.

What a bunch of nutjobs. Next thing we'll hear is about intelligent life on duna trying to contact people...

[insert X-Files theme here]

But in all seriousness, I hope that they do add more easter eggs and fix the older ones *coughmagicbouldercough*.
