News outlet?

Hi, everyone. I was just thinking about KSP last night and the Apollo 11 launch, and how it got so much publicity, being the first Moon landing, of course, and I was thinking... 'What if there was a news outlet on Kerbin, like a radio station or a newspaper, documenting all new records, like landing on the Mun, altitude records, etc.? That would be rather interesting...'

So I was thinking of The Kerbin News, a news outlet that starts as a newspaper, and asks you to make a relay network to expand it into a TV/radio station to get a higher number of viewers to increase rep (viewers), funds (running the network), and science (made first relay network), and maybe, just maybe, we could have a reason to launch a satellite network to broadcast TV/radio.

Then again, just a few of my thoughts...

What do you guys think about it?

give the player a glimpse of how kerbin society is developing thanks to the efforts of the space program.

not after every mission, but once important milestones are achieved.

Start off with news paper covers and radio broadcasts

Then various TV, maybe some kind of Kerbal internet then a hologram type thingy.

this combined with in game cameras would be amazing. being able to stage you "first steps" on the mun and take the picture AND have it put on an in game news paper cover would be awesome!

Didn't even think about the internet! That could be a HUGE source of science, rep, and funds. SQUAD, this should be in Career .25!

This was suggested a few days ago...and probably before that as well. I still support it, though...like the encyclopedia and museum that people were suggesting forever ago. Just good stuff to make the game-world feel more alive and they present more opportunity for kerbal silliness

Considering the difficulty of the game, it would give a sense of fulfillment to players. Especially those who are not exactly scientists and have trouble achieving orbit or going to the Mun : a cutscene could be a nice stimulation to persist and try to go further.

Should be considered with low priority, though. The game still needs more important things, such as eradication of bugs and improvements to the interface.
