Why can't there be Kerbal Space Program Lanyards in the store???

Because lanyards are use to fire cannon and Kerbals have no artillery.

Because Kerbals don't use lanyards, even when doing EVA. There was an experimental attempt at lanyards called KAS but 0.24 seems to have killed it.
