KSP Funds to US Dollars

I don't think you could really come up with a conversion rate. For the purposes of your mod, I think what you'd want to do is try to come up with a value for the asteroid recovery which would create a good return without breaking the game balance (which is already unbalanced pending re-balancing.) Take into account what would be the likely cost of the rocket and parts needed and the ease of landing an asteroid (which doesn't look to hard in stock). Then scale the return based on the asteroid's size and some random number (which would be how rich the asteroid was in valuable minerals.)

Well, if you want to be realistic, try a conversion rate that is simple, but puts you in the right ballpark. Say, 1 fund, 1000$, or something. Then work with that.

Well considering that voyager 2 was 3.7 billion U.S. dollars a near estimate for that would be 1 kerbin dollar would equal 3500 US dollars and if you don't believe me look up how much it cost to make voyager one and then make a near exact simulation and take the cost it cost to make that ship multiply it by 3500 and you will get about 3.7 billion dollars MATH(ps: upload it to curse on ksp or kerbal space port I would like to get it)
