I saw Slenderman!

Just because I know my information doesn't let me be fooled. The information was WAY off of common reports. Typically he doesn't show up until its NIGHT the second time. An obvious tip off this was leading to nowhere.

Mods, this has run its course. End it.

Maybe the Northwestern Tree Octopus? They can change their shape and colour...

I agree with you that the Northwest Tree Octopus is a more likely suspect. I suggest looking deeper into the possibility of it being that instead...

I have lived a decent amount of time (36 years) I have been in deep woods abandoned buildings and abandoned mine shafts. I have never, ever seen anything that would constitute a supernatural encounter. These things are a construct of the mind. When it's dark and you have little light to go off of, the simplest things become ominous because your brain is trying to figure out what it is.

And that's the problem, if we wouldn't watch horror movies or look at pictures or read stories about scary things like slender man, we wouldn't be scared. Without these in mind, there would be nothing to be scared of.

Want to bet?

Also don't worry about slenderman just keep $20 on you at all times and you'll be fine.

If we didn't have these stories we'd make up new ones to be scared of. People in the Middle Ages had goblins and werewolves, today we have Slenderman and the Greys.

It's just your natural self-protective instincts misfiring. For our ancestors imagining that the funny noise in the woods at night was something awful about to eat your face conferred a survival advantage. We may be urbane, but we've still got all that wiring in our brains.

I grew up in the Black Hills of So.Dak. We had Sioux legends about the Windigo. A windigo is much scarier than slenderman. But as I said before, I spent countless ages in deep woods and the only eerie thing I've come across was a Bull Elk mating call.

I do allot of hunting, fishing and camping, I've heard all those stories as well, granted I've had my fair share of strange things happen but not to make me believe in myths.

I recon it's just a known bug in the Reality Processing Enginetm

Maybe this one :P

No, if you hadn't guessed, I don't believe in the paranormal.

If you're worried, get a pair of these, then you'll _know_ when something bad is about to happen
