So, i started using another internet provider, they said their internet was really fast, i was going to test it by downloading a game from steam.

They weren't kidding.

Pico: Peak

It's a bug with steam, it happens to me every now and again.
It isnt THAT fast.

It just is a glitch in Steam.

I have encountered it more than 10 times.

But have your fun!

Ah. Thank you. I was severely confused.

This happened to me before. Steam karked it in when I was downloading something, and said my peak was around what this one is. But the thing is, by internet is bandwidth limited to 196KB/s. that Kilobytes. per second. Horrible, I know.

Mine internet has kicked up to 2.4 Mb/s before. When tested with ookla it usually sits aroudn 1.3 or 1.4. It's decent. The fastest internet i've ever had that's for sure. But usually it hangs down around 400-500 Kb/s

My home internet was crap and hardly ever got above 200 kBps or so. Then I moved to college, and I'm getting ethernet downloads speeds of around 3-4 MBps. Downloaded Portal 2 in under half an hour (as opposed to the 19 hours it took back home). :D

wow, that is impressive. the xbox 360 port of portal 2 takes 14+ hours easily to download through my crappy internet.
