So, Essential add ons/parts packs to make awesome stuff in sandbox mode? So.......Engines? Aerodynamic plane parts? etc....

What do you guys dig?

Procedural Fairings and, to a lesser extent, Aviation Lights are the only parts-mods I use for aesthetics. SCANSat adds purpose for satellites and Kerbinside makes the planet less empty, almost everything else I use is for command and control. Conveniently enough, you can see the list in my signature.
