On closer inspection, seems you guys are right, though the differences are subtle. Still, giving them more distinct hair would be a plus. Then again, maybe that's something to be implemented later.

It's a pity they haven't completed the female Kerbal design yet, could have been an opportunity to have an important female character. Squad may have missed a trick here, unless there will be more in game charters added later.

IDK, we've had kerbalizer, and different Kerbals in video and non playable roles for a while now. I think it's meant to happen one day thought.

Or for others, it is possible retcons are in order where kerbals with different names have played the same roles. Perhaps it would be best to wait to see if they appear in an up coming video, so we get some proper insight into their characters.

I bet you when female kerbals are implemented they'll fire one of the other guys.

But that would be gender discrimination....

Then again, it's hard to think of any more roles without being able to read Squad's collective mind.

I wonder if Linus is named for Linus Pauling?

I love the fact that the PR guy is wearing a hazmat suit! Haha!

Mortimer the accountant? Surely a Trading Places reference?

The forum/social posts were all scheduled for tomorrow. *Grumbles* ;.; Well, enjoy, though!

The press lied!?!? This changes everything!

Don't let them know about the Christmas surprise...

Mortimer makes me think of Mortimer Green, the Financial Advisor from Sim City 3000.

But he looks like the G-Man from Half-Life 2.

I wonder if that's another reference....

I can alterady picture each of the trio's personalities by just looking at their appearances.

Walt has a bit of a "southerner" accent and, from what we can see of his... questionable fashion choice, is a Cloudcuckoolander, but is still friendly, polite and very charismatic, which led to the public to love him.

Mortimer is an angry, grumpy and greedy Kerbal, as we can see from his wrinkles and clothing style. He's seldom happy, and his subordinates often are scared of commiting anything faulty in his front. However, he is a very good accountant and knows the best choices in where to gain and spend money. He'll always criticize you and be condescending, though.

Linus is a shy, socially awkward but very intelligent scientist. In fact, his levels of intelligence are so high that he could pretty much be considered the Only Sane Man of Kerbin, and would probably be the head scientist or possibly even the emperor of Kerbin if it wasn't the fact that he occasionally stutters and is too afraid of speaking up in the public, thus often staying in Wernher's shadows. Unlike Mortimer, he would always praise the player, even if his choices are negative.

I bet you when female kerbals are implemented they'll fire one of the other guys.

I actually think that the important female Kerbal would be the lead of the Astronaut Recruiting and Training program. Hey, why else do you think Kerbals would all swarm over a job that they know that has a 90% of failure? :sticktongue:

It actually looks more of a reference to Linux to me. But this would be far too obvious.

You mean with an all to tight spandex trainer?

"Well, now that we finally have female Kerbals in this sexist-all-men-game, let us have a talk about how you implemented them in a sexist way!"

Waaahh, I cannot stop doing this!

It is all Maxmaps fault for not letting me in on the secret! :P:wink:

The reason for the PR Hazmat suit was hypothesized in another thread. It's obvious, really: he needs the suit for protection against flaming, such as when the fuel is found to kill the polar bears, or a station crashes into the capital of Kerbin.
