Why is there fire on the concrete runway, though? OK, it makes sense if a fueled plane crashes onto it, but for an asteroid, it makes little sense.

You'd think if anything removing the fire effects from the slabs of cement exploding would be framerate beneficial and an easy toggle. Maybe I'm overestimating the tweakability of the new explosion effects, though.

Unfortunately, at some point there's just too much disbelief to suspend. Concrete runway fire is ... well, it might get modded out by someone, I imagine.
