Physics Distance

Is there a mod which allows for physics implementation at a higher distance than the stock 2.5 km?

The only one I've heard about is Lazor Systems, but even on the highest setting (99.9 km view distance), things flying in the atmosphere still disappear at 5 km away. I would like to know if there is a mod which allows physics to happen at a distance of 25 km or more.

That mod says under Notes:

This plugin doesn't increase the true rendering distance (it's still ~2.5km) -- it just draws models in place of where the ships should be. No physics are calculated on distant vessels (for obvious performance reasons), so for instance, you couldn't watch satellites deorbit from the ground. You'd have to find a plugin that raises the threshold at which KSP physically loads ships, like Lazor System.

I would be interested in a mod that increases the true rendering distance, and physics calculated on distant vessels.

You wanting to see something or transfer stuff ? Don't think you can see ships because they unload at that range but there are Telescopes mods to see the planets.

Hmm, played around with it on my own mod (with Vessel.loadDistance) and I can go past 2.5 km but it seems like there's a hard limit of 5.0 km beyond which the vessel stops being loaded. Anyone know how to get past that?

Thanks MeCripp but I'm looking for something which still shows physics on vessels farther than 5 km, for example when there's a plane flying in the atmosphere that's farther than 5 km from the active vessel.

You could've tried this, but Spaceport is no more. I think there's some other mods that I just can' remember that do the same...

If I remember correctly, BDArmory has/had a setting that changes the physics range... might be removed, but you could try it out.

Wanderfound was looking for the same thing - in post #4 Xaiier mentions the vars involved - you may be able to roll your own.
