I'm on steam, downloaded the update but still have version 0.24.2.559 none of the new features present. I have also deleted the old version and reinstalled.

I think you're missing the point. KSP *queued and UPDATED* for us on Steam. I watched it download and install. But when running the game, it's still v0.24. Something is very obviously borked.

yep, same issue. on Mac OS deleted the game and re-installed and still .24.2

EDIT: Deleted and started to download it again. This one is 200mb larger than the one a few minutes ago. I think I might be good...though this will be a long 3 minutes.

You can skip "Update Queued" by right clicking KSP, going to Manage Downloads, and clicking the download icon. Is this old news or... ?
