Are you running KSP in 2560x1440? Can you post a screenshot?

It resizes only flight UI, not space center facilities UIs.

I think (hope) they'll add more strategies later on, perhaps some more complex ones that involve launch costs and certain parts or experiments. But for now, the current ones are usually enough, even if it does look underwhelming.
