Venus and Jupiter atm are really bright and can be seen even in heavily light polluted areas. It\'s in the western sky right now right after sunset and I can see it from my back yard in the city.

Here\'s the entire conjunction. Venus is up top, then Jupiter is closer to the moon. Taken from a Canon T2i.

Thats because they are close to each other (conjuntion).

I live in a small town in Arizona so there\'s no city and therefore no lights. So I looked outside and after 20 or so seconds I think I pinpointed Venus.

It stuck out from the rest for being slightly brighter and being more of a orange color than any other star.

And if Jupiter is near the moon this must be Jupiter

I remember when I was really young, my dad took me to an observatory with one of them massive telescopes.

It was really late at night, and there were a lot of people queing to look through the telescope.

The telescope was pointed at mars.

It looked like a small red dot in a massive black background.

That was a nice day.
