dwleger
Whenever I'm trying to maneuvers to get into orbit, I aim at the blue icon in my nav ball, burn at the correct time, and my ship goes in the opposit direction that I want it to go. Has anyone else witnessed this?Am I doing something wrong? Here's my maneuver.Whenever I do my burn, It's in the wrong direction, and my orbit collapses. Any idea why it would be doing this? bigyihsuan
Perhaps a picture of your ship would be helpful?Usually it's either the maneuver is on the other side of the orbit, or your probe core/command pod is reversed.
Xavven
Are you burning at the correct time? In your picture, I see the text "Node in T - 16m, 8s". This means that you should start your burn in about 16 minutes. You're on the opposite side of the planet right now, so burning at that heading is actually retrograde! Duke23
I've done that more than once... Usually because I docked two craft together face to face and controlled from the wrong one.

This also happened to me, and when I forgot to deactivate the opposite engines, all of them fired simultanously and the ship doesn't move but wasted fuel. Thats how you create a mass relay for kerbals 2 opposing mainsails (or these days the even bigger SSL ones) put kerbal right infront of one and pulse both on for an instant and your brave travler just went interplanetary without a ship. moogoob
I did that once. On a rover's descent stage. Let's just say that landing was very difficult.
magnemoe
Most common reason for this is then setting command from here on back docking port. Be glad you did not did the burn with mechjeb without paying attention to it
