KerbalKon 2014-2015

After watching the Squadcast today we found out that KerbalKon will not be on this december and will be set back a possible 2 months meaning it will be around late January early February due to the busy time table Squad have. I am sure we will have 2 KerbalKons next year. Also Kofyeh, KasperVid and Rowsdower thought my idea of KerbalKon 2015 should be hosted in AUSTRALIA could be awesome.

Anyway what do you guys think???

Keep in mind that there is no guarantee of Kerbalkon taking place during the timeframe stated in the OP, if at all. It was a rough estimate of Max's. There is also no guarantee of it being held anywhere other than by us at the HQ in Mexico, as we did last year. What is known is that it will be postponed for work on 0.90. Just want to get that out of the way before any major speculation happens. You may now continue with your regularly scheduled thread.

Naturally, I would also welcome kerbalcon, or something similar appearing in australia. (Especially if it's something uni student affordable...) However, like L3go, I might be biased....

That would be awesome, and maybe there'd even be a reliable high speed intertube there for streaming. 1,300 odd miles though from Mexico City to the Cape though. :/

There is the Space Museum in Alamogordo, New Mexico, which is just a couple hours from Juarez (should they want a slight field trip). The Spaceport (Virgin Galactic) is there, too.

I have a windmill in my back garden ^^. Not that this has much to do with anything, but there's 4 acres of grounds here, a large conference room and various caravans. A lot depends on how many people want to come but should be able to accommodate 5 - 9 people, more if camping (bring your own sleeping bags and food!)

I must admit, I had an idea in which a KSP convention took place around the Santa Barbara area and was timed to occur during the upcoming launch window of a mission flying out of Vandenberg. Wine tasting, beaches, and casting friendly KSP competitions and discussions could fill the gap time. The downside is, it's several hours from the nearest major airport (Los Angeles), and any community-friendly physical KSP convention would need to have very easy international access.

I'll second Kanada, but more specifically Vankouver. It's not as bad as most of Kanada in winter. Lots of game/tech studios you can poach from, and skiing too!
