make a copy?

I bought the game on steam, but now I want to make a copy so I can have a stock ksp, and a modded(and maby a little more) but when I copy it, it works, but a lot bigger than what I want.

What do you mean "a lot bigger"? It is what it is, it shouldn't be any bigger or smaller in one location than the other.

the screen is. I like the steam sized window because I watch youtube while playing but when I copy the folder the window is to big

Err, REDUCING the resolution made it lag? That's pretty much the opposite of what should happen.

If you copied the entire "Kerbal Space Program" folder from within the "SteamApps/common" folder, than NOTHING - ABOSOLUTELY NOTHING is different from the copied version to the original UNTIL you change something. If you deleted "settings.cfg" that's why. Otherwise there is no reason. Unless you copied between computers. That can through up some issues.

I don't know how they are different,but they are. also,I think my saves are traveling between them

Seriously, what's the size difference in MB? Give some informations first.

Also, make sure that if you are starting them with shortcuts, that both the path to the executable (Target) and the working directory (Start in) are both pointing at the correct places. You should probably be running the KSP.exe directly rather than Launcher.exe...

I fixed the problem. I just THOUGHT it looked bigger and went slower,but it turns out the slower was scott manly's interstellar quest and the size was just me.
