Do you send certain kerbals on boring/dangerous missions because of their name?

Well, anyone with "Bob" in their name immediately gets assigned to Bobforce-Alpha, my station building & maintanaince team. Sadly they were all killed while trying to land my first attempt at a cargo spaceplane.

Yup. The white suits are the ones that get sent on one-way missions.

I try to hire kerbals with high courage, low stupidity, but will hire others if needed. I generally couldn't care less about the names, and instead assign kerbals to missions based on senority. Any kerbal that I find out is a certified badS, gets accelerated through the senority rankings. Jeb, Bill, and Bob are always assigned commander spots, and so do some of the early mission kerbals. However with setting up a permanent colony, as opposed to a base where kerbals are rotated, I'll man a colony with brand new kerbals. But I honestly can't remember a single time I assigned or didn't assign a kerbal to a mission based on their name.

This is disgraceful. Kerbals spend their entire lives training and waiting for the time that they can go to space only to be turned down due to their name! How can you people live with yourselves!

Neilbro and Doodrigh get all the good missions, but Billy-Bobgun has been in my space station for at least a kerbal decade...

The A team do all the test flights and get first try at new, dangerous missions. First landings are usually Jeb and Bill, with Bob keeping the return ship in good order. After that, one of them will fly missions with one or two of the new guys, just to keep an eye on how they do. Buzz gets to do any mission with a lot of rendezvous and docking!

I named 3 of them after my two dogs and cat. They do get the prestigious missions and for some reason will never be left behind.:$

I hired one called Johnster Kerman which is very close to my real name. Not the Kerman part.

I use him for all my test flights.

Never ever, would i send a kerbal anywhere dangerous because of hers/his name. I form permanent teams and they get mission flags with their names. Thats all, their names will influence.
