Has something strange happened to the Daily Kerbal forum

The default sort order of the Daily Kerbal forum appears to have changed.

I haven't explicitly changed the sort order and the current order neither has a marker indicating the sort column nor does it appear to actually be sorted by any of the available columns.

All of the other forums (well, I haven't checked all of them, but certainly all the ones I have checked) are sorted by "Last Post By" descending by default...

Edit: It has been pointed out to me that the threads are in original posting order which makes some sense for this particular forum though I have never actually noticed it before. Has it been changed recently or was it always like this?

Always like that (or it changed within two weeks of the dailies becoming a thing). Stops older threads taking the limelight.

Kinda wish they'd added tags for that forum so you could filter by which type of daily you were looking for.

That's not a bad idea, but since the post are automatically fetched from the KSP Dev Team Tumblr page those tags would have to be set manually

Surely you could merely tag the Tumblr post with a certain tag (e.g., #devnote, #modmonday, or even go just by the days themselves), and then have it apply the correct tag accordingly.

I suppose you could always just search the forum for all threads whose titles include the word 'tuesday'.

That only brings 4 results, 3 from 2013 and one recently about the ISS

Although the list says it is showing 1-4 of 5...

EDIT : I think I broke the forum for a short while with this post...

EDIT 2 : Searching for `tuesdays` does bring up all the correct threads.

That really bugs me actually, the way that you have to search for whole complete words instead of fragments meaning a search for `tuesday` will not bring up pages with the word `tuesdays`...

Honestly I'm surprised that ANY search brings up any reliable results at all. I gave up long ago on the forum search and just go to google.

The best fix for search would be to disable it and put a google search directed at site:forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com.

I just tried that and I could not find an obvious way to `drill down` or restrict searches in any way for example to search for threads with `tuesday` in the title.

Well, it's not exactly perfect -- there could be a few other pages turn up -- but a simple site:forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com intitle:devnote tuesday works pretty solidly.
