Started my career now, went to the moon, had mystery goo on my LEM and my CSM, want to return to kerbin in just my CSM capsule, but then i loose all the science data that was stored in the LEM, when i try to get data via the door, all i can get is the surface sample and the eva. I should be able to take with me the data from all the other equipment as well.

You can use the lab to grab the science and clean the experiment. Then store the science in the command pod. Requires 3 kerbals to work though.

You should be able to retrieve the data from the goo containers while on eva (get close and right-click them). It breaks the container, but you're done with it after one use without a science lab anyway.

Radially attached containers are small and go well with a small science return craft. You can place 2 or 3 of them on one probe in order to return full science value from parts that give diminishing returns, like the goo or something. ^This. Just go out, grab the data, and enter the command pod. Like magic all your data is in one easy to return place! Been that way since 0.23 I think. Works the same with crew reports, btw, which let's you grab more than one at a time (take crew report, eva, grab all data from capsule, reenter capsule, take another crew report somewhere else). Only condition is that you can't have two of the same exact data in the same pod (so you can't have two surface samples from the same biome, for instance).
