Music for Ksp

hey guys, after seeing another thread for a playlist for songs that would go with Ksp. i would really like to hear from the community which songs i should use. i will be posting it on my youtube channel FYI. i will allow any genre except country, or scream o, and soft rock. yes you can use heavy metal, Dubstep, Drum and bass and any other electronic music. hoping to here from you guys soon!!!! Space music by a real space scientist. For those of you who've seen the KSP Credits (via game or

), you may recall that apparently someone at Squad likes Bungie (or at least the concept of Bungie Aerospace). Most gamers here are aware of the Halo franchise, with its fine (Marty O'Donnell) music. But before Halo music, there was the music of

and the

series. Before these was the theme music of

and

(by Power of Seven). Well, before that was of course the original Marathon. Its music was by Alex Seropian, one of the cofounders of Bungie. This music has been "remade" into more modern and much less midi-sounding works of great sounding art. The music continues to be instrumental only, and eerily seems to "fit" with what one might think Kerbals may listen to during their forays off (and into) the ground (or the water). Even the song titles beg for a listen: Splash, Rushing, Swirls, Landing, Fat Man, Freedom, Aliens Again, Flippant, Flowers in Heaven, Rapture, "What About Bob?"; among others. You can either listen to them online or download them free and legally at the Marathon Music Remade site!

Interestingly, the site is by one Craig Hardgrove, who is not only a musician and Marathon player, but also one of the scientists involved with the Mars Curiosity rover and the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter!

The Homeworld soundtrack has some of the best space music ever, IMHO. My favorite single track for KSP orbit music would be the "Tutorial" music from Homeworld

Rep to that! I loved that game when I played through it on disc and I almost am thinking of streaming it when I buy remastered. Anyways it does have a great soundtrack. I even have it saved to my playlists on YouTube!
