As mentioned over in its thread, I'm considering doing a live stream of (the beginning of) Kidonia's maiden voyage to Jool. I'm willing to take input on when is a good time, so if anyone's interested, please feel free to mention any time and day preferences here or in the other thread.

ATTENTION WORLD!

Alongside several other people at my school, I'll be participating in the Extra Life charity streaming event this Saturday, November 7th. Currently the plan is to stream, um... Kerbal Space Program, featuring the long-awaited departure of the Kidonia on its maiden voyage!

As a night owl I don't expect it to be very likely I'll be streaming right off the bat, but tune in to http://twitch.tv/parameciumkid in the afternoon for my stream! And of course, stay tuned here for updates and hopefully more specific information on when I'll be doing what.

 

 

 

I'm going to be needing to use Open Broadcaster Software extensively for a project (unrelated to KSP) over the next few months, so to get the hang of it and see how well it worked with KSP, I uh, tried it with KSP. And then since the video was long and boring, I derped around with FFMpeg (awesome software once you know what to do with it) to make it faster. Is 8x about right, or do you guys think I should change it (4x? 16x? 6.33452x?)?

Criticism of the Bass Launch System is also welcome, although as an official derpship I don't expect to be putting any real effort into refining it ;P

Oh, and the little "psh" sounds were me sniffling. I didn't realize OBS had my microphone running ^^;

I'm bumping this thread with a link to the YouTube playlist for my new space game currently in development. I may go back to - okay, who am I kidding, I may start - making KSP videos after 1.0 comes out. Likely they'll focus on exploiting bugs for lolz a la the infamous Danny2462.

So those announcements you were awaiting:

- Stream starts at 2pm EST

- The mothership itself will depart some time after that. Expect maybe 5 or 6.

EDIT: The stream resumes at 23:30 and with any luck the mothership will depart within a few minutes of that.

I had a grand total of three people show up to the stream, separated from one another by hours, so Kidonia ended up not going anywhere after all.
