Deselect currently selected part in the VAB

Recommended Posts

When building a rocket, sometimes I will select a part to move by accident. This can be especially problematic on larger rockets. Most the times I just place the part and then hit `ctrl+z` but sometimes this just doesn't work, or messes other things up.

Is there any way to deselect the current part?

Has this been fixed yet? I've played the demo and really enjoy the game so far, but I'm debating buying the full version because this issue. Its really annoying that the ESC key doesn't deselect the item and return to its original place (as in many other programs). This is compounded by a lot of bugs with undo...

Personally, I've never had a problem with undo; it works just fine for me. I'm also in the habit of saving frequently.

Seriously, just buy the game. :) When you consider how many hours of sheer bliss you'll get out of it, the game is an absolute steal at the price they're asking. And it just keeps getting better all the time.

Best entertainment money I ever spent.

I had to go try this because it has become instinctive and I couldn't remember just what it is I do.

If I accidentally pick up an attached part, I discard it by dropping it on the part list and then do ctrl-z. Seems to work every time.

Yeah, I most likely will buy it. The undo issues may just be a linux 64-bit issue considering how often I've encountered them and the fact that its not a widespread complaint among others.
