Volcanix
Hello there! So I was pretty happy after the new update has been announced, especially when reading about new spaceplane parts, wheels and so on. Now there is one thing about I'm still wondering. I recently started a new career save, spaceplane-only because I really like the concept of SSTOs. However, I'm flying in Stock Aero, which made me think:Will the new aerodynamics in 1.0 be like FAR and render most of my planes probably pretty unflyable without further optimization, or will Stock Spaceplanes from the current version still be able to fly as usual? It would be kinda cool to already get a feeling for it and also see what I should do with my savegame.I haven't seen someone ask this question before or it getting answered anywhere, although I haven't looked everywhere Volcanix
OhioBob
Squad claims they are interested in making the new system backward compatible such that most old designs will still fly. It's uncertain at this juncture just how that will work.
cicatrix
Just test your spaceplane in FAR. I'm pretty sure if it flies with FAR it WILL fly with the new stock aero.
WhiteKnuckle
It sounds like the 1.0 aero will be less terrible than current (not that it could be worse), but still no where near what Ferram does. I'll be sticking with .90 until FAR is released for 1.
Vanamonde
At this point, no one knows what 1.0 aero will be like, but everybody seems to have an opinion about it anyway. Please people, just wait and see? Closing this thread now before this argument takes over yet another part of the forum.
