    • Only if I mess up big time!

    • Only to test out new designs! Honest!

    • I uninstall the game if I even consider opening it.

Using Mechjeb is cheating.

Also, so is part clipping. And procedural parts are "uncreative".

I never knew you set the rules for KSP.

should I upload my craft for your approval?

presumably you all bought the game?

so it's up to you how you play it

I haven't used that menu but I don't feel the right to tell others how they can or can't play

The Alt+F12 menu is for debugging and bug-bypassing in a game that is still in alpha. Now that KSP is finished and going to be released as version 1.0, the menu should be removed.

Almost every game I've played has a debug console available. What difference does it possibly make to have it available, especially since the game will not be bug-free?

Debug consoles seem to be becoming very rare outside of FPS games these days. Replacing it with a console is an excellent suggestion however. It'd be much more useful and extensible as a debugging tool in that case, and less useful as an instant cop-out for gameplay.

I've used it a few times, mostly for infinite EVA to go tool around somewhere and just have a little fun. I also tried the gravity hack once but I don't really see the use of it since you still need orbital velocity for when you turn it off.

I always wanted to try the Whack-A-Kerbal but I'm afraid something will go terribly wrong. :sealed:

And remember, it's a game. It's meant to be fun, and that's different for everyone. Nobody is "better" or "worse" than the next guy because of how they play.

Why do you care? Play your own game the way you like and leave others to do the same.

Like everyone else here, I would like to see the game become the very best that it can be. Leaving debugging tools in a released product is messy and unprofessional. Either remove them in released builds or develop them to the point that they can be considered an official feature, not something hidden in an undocumented keyboard shortcut.

I use it on rare occasions. A specific example being when I have a ship returning from Duna, I accelerate timewarp and when the ship crosses the SoI boundary my Kerbin periapsis jumps from 100km to 1,500,00 km (it happens). If the craft doesn't have enough ÃŽâ€v because of a design problem or a errant maneuver that's my fault, sorry Jeb but you need to wait for the rescue ship. If a craft doesn't have enough ÃŽâ€v because the game screwed up, F12!
