where can i get an official download for previous versions of KSP?

im trying to set up a release but i need a link that i can send people where they can download KSP 0.24.2. is there such a place where i can send people who have bought the game?

i think squad found a thumb drive or something along those lines with all the previous versions and that they're going to release them to the people who have bought the game once 1.0 comes out.

A release? A release of what? Look, if you want to send people to a download have them google "KSP," it's the first thing that comes up. If they can't use Google, than KSP is probably not the right game for them.

no no no im releasing a precariously balanced vessel with a few mods. it does work in 0.9 but easier for me to release it for 0.24.2. i think people will still want to download it because its thunderbird 2.

There are some legal issues involved here, guys, so be careful.

After KSP was released as a product for purchase (versions 14 and above), the KSP store and Steam became the only legal places from which to get those versions, and they only offer the current version. The pre-14 versions were put out for free as demos. They are not currently available from Squad, but can be found here and there around the internet. Oh, and recently they made next-to-newest version also available from the store as well, for people who might want to go down one for compatibility reasons.

Sorry but only versions up to and including 0.13.3 and version 0.18.3 are free to download and share, all the rest are updates up to the current release 0.90.0 and the previous stable release of 0.25.0, which have to be paid for.

Players who own KSP can get the last stable release via the store or Steam.

0.24.2 is deprecated and no longer available or supported.

I would humbly suggest that your rework your craft to work well in 0.90 with current versions of whichever mods it needs. Very, very few players are going to install obsolete versions of KSP and mods for a single craft, no matter how cool it is.

0.24.2 is deprecated and no longer available or supported.

This would be one of the reasons that I keep backup copies of every version of KSP, making a fresh one for each new version as I download it, going all the way back to 0.16.

Yeah, I do the same. My archive apparently goes all the way back to 0.9! (Not to be confused with 0.90). I even have some of the experimental releases apparently.
