"Lock Suspension" for Rover Wheels

Recommended Posts

While it didn't break the mission, I had an encounter with rover wheel suspension. I had carefully built my station parts to dock when driven into position. I did my testing on Kerbin.

Where the ports lined up nicely. But once on Minmus....

The end units, which are (apparently) lighter then the middle part have their wheels off the ground. (magnetic docking ports drew them together, tho I could have used the IR jacks to align things if need be)

It seems that "lock suspension" on the landing legs pushes the legs out to full extension and locks them there. It would be nice if that could be done with the wheels as well, rendering the changes in compression due to differing gravity on different bodies moot.
