When Do You Give Reputation?

Could you give a definition of a Good Post?

Most likely, "a post that I think deserves a virtual pat on the head (i.e. rep)." That's my criteria, at least - nothing more specific than "I feel like it at this moment."

I give rep for helpful posts, informative or well reasoned posts (including ones which rebut my own), for posts which I think just needed to be said, and for interesting fanworks stuff. I really should give more rep to modders, although in my defense I don't use many mods.

^ Plus to add to that cool craft & people who can express what I feel better then I and I therefore quote them :D

...it can also be a kind expression of thanks to another helpful poster or even a gracious retreat from previous bad behaviour.

Make the forums better for everyone and you get rep.

That's the way! Give rep to the ones who do something positive for the forum.
