is it possible to target and resource transfer from multiple targets at same time if you have multiple Yellow units???

and if it is not possible to target multiple vessels, would / do multiple yellow lazors transfer faster than just one??

I really need someone to clarify something here for me regarding Tractor Beams because I cannot find a clear tutorial or instructions to figure out how they work. Let me first describe what I think a "tractor beam" is:

  • A beam that "grabs" a hold of an object.
  • The towed object can be extended out or retracted in.
  • The object will move in relation to the "tugboat".
  • The object's docking port can be docked with another docking port, such as a space station.
  • When an object has docked onto a port, the beam can be deactivated to release it.
  • This beam could also be used to capture items within a certain distance by drawing them closer, such as when rockets/RCS is unavailable.

So, is this what the magenta lasor beam can do? Any explanation is greatly appreciated. I just don't want to put a dock on every object I want to move around, nor do I want to have to fiddle around with a robotic arm. Can anyone offer any advice?

To do multiple transfers you have to configure multiple yellow subsystems in the config tab. And use the lock function on the beams.

And the more yellow lazors you use, the faster the transfer will be.

Hey Rom, still having fun with the plugin, but notice that craft explode at 6.5km if you attempt to take control of them via RC. Is that still bugged?

The crafts explode when you engage RC at 6.5km or more? Or is it when the craft reach 6.5km? Is it always exactly 6.5km? Does it happen on all crafs? etc. etc.

Hello all,

I have a question about the resource transfer system in conjunction with the kethane mod. What I am trying/wanting to do is beam kethane from my miner landed on Mun to my

command ship that is in orbit. I have the command ship in a crazy low 5k orbit well within transfer range but the system well not transfer, and it says "target is within

transfer range but laser range is to short"? I have all my yellow lazors set as the leaders, and the range slider maxed to the right and works fine stationery transfers. Is this something that is just not

possible to do with spacecraft traveling at high relative velocitys? And if not is there a config setting to make it possible? Thanks for any help. Really loving this mod! :)

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. :D My lazor view distance on the space center screen was set to 300m. I kicked it up to max and I can now transfer kethane up from my miner.

Though oddly enough I can only beam it up using my command ship in orbit. For whenever I try to beam it using my miner on the surface I get a message stating that the target ship does not have the kethane resource?

Lazor Guided Weapons will still work as stand alone. In fact everything will work the same way it used to. The only change is the download and installation.

If you really don't want to have the Lazor System parts in your game you can download the Docking Cam and install that in stead of Lazor System as it contains the same thing, except the Lazor System parts.

I had to do it this way because it turned out to be a bad idea to have the plugin bundled with every one of my other plugins.

Ah ok so the only change is that the plugin dll is no longer bundled with every pack? Thats fine :)

I downloaded the cam and robotic arms and then just used the plugin from the lazer system only.

everything is the same like you said. Thats all you have to do to run stand alone versions for anyone who wants to know.
