  1. This is an important point, I think. There really is very little that is anything like KSP at all. If Take-Two is smart, they're thinking about this on a decade+ timescale. If the updates show they are on a positive track, this game should continue to grow and remain relevant for a very long time. You just have to hope the bean counters and wall street types that hold the moneybags can see more than a financial quarter into the future.
  2. From a spawning bug, it appears that the Duna Tree is the nose of the Kerbal face, though the face itself is buried on Duna. Makes me curious, I wonder if in an update, we'll be able to do archeology stuff to learn more about these or uncover more
  3. The difference in scale between internal QA and any kind of public release can't be overstated. I've played for maybe ~30 hr now, and have yet to encounter most of the worst bugs mentioned in the update. My save files are fine, the game hasn't crashed on me, my crafts haven't randomly exploded, and I haven't had the KSC follow me around either. Which isn't to say I have had a problem-free experience, but it also shouldn't be too surprising that when the game is released to tens or even hundreds of thousands of players, they're gonna notice things that the couple dozen devs and testers may have missed, or underestimated.
  4. 100% wings should have fuel capacity! Also, and I know that this isn't very likely (at least short term) but I think it would be super cool to have wing camber be an option you can adjust for the proc wings.
  5. Those are unofficial steam key reseller sites, I highly, highly doubt Intercept has anything to do with this. Everything they sell is "on sale," that's the point of those sites. On GMG, Hogwarts Legacy, Atomic Heart, hell the RE4 remake and Last of us Part one preorders are all about 15% off right now. This doesn't mean anything
  6. Hey guys, Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, or if this has been answered already elsewhere, I'm doing some flight tests for a shuttle clone design and having some issues with drag (I think). Here's a couple screenshots: I'm not sure why the rear part of the cargo bay seems to be causing so much drag there. It is possible to land it safely on glideslope, but getting the flare right when your glideslope is 40 degrees is... exiting.
  7. I wasn't getting any clouds, but then I went to the Mun and found: Clearly something is not installed correctly, but I'm not 100% sure where I went wrong. will investigate further...
  8. Hey Thanks! I've done some film-making before, including some stop-motion animation, but I've never done any machinima. Yeah I didn't notice those kerbcam options until after I had made it, would have helped for the long shots for sure!
  9. Hey everybody! This is my first cinematic, it's a music video of sorts: I'm working on another one, bit it's slow going, don't have a lotta time to work on it at the moment...
  10. I'm hoping for RasterPropMonitor. All those blank MFD's in the stock (previously SP+) cockpits...
  11. Forward visibility for landing/takeoff. The real Concorde did the same thing: As did the Russian Tu-144:
