  1. It takes a lot of time to search for anomalies. It's more fun to go directly to the location and find out what it is. So please post images of anomaly locations, but NO IMAGES OF ANOMALIES. Thank you, hope this helps!
  2. Mun arch(es): Minmus wizard: Duna totem: Tylo Buddha: Mohole: Bop - possible Kraken Devil Temple hidden here (not confirmed): Vall subsurface ocean entrance:
  3. 3 hours people until the hunt!!! I repeat, 3 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. So before launch there were these light artifacts in the videos. I've gone flying in that direction and in other places and I can confirm that I have seen these lights also on the Runway Island and in the Desert. Also, sometimes when I fly over the place where the lights appeared / blinked, I sometimes hear a deep SWOOSH sound. But, I have not yet found any anomalies that are linked to the lights. So I am not sure if they are a regular game video rendering bug or something more.
  5. I don't think it's a stretch to imagine that the art department and creatives working on KSP2 have made a lot of cool new places to explore on the celestial bodies. I will just use Kerbin to represent what a ~10x increase in the number of anomalies would look like (from currently 20 to 200). The white question marks are existing anomalies in KSP1. The red question marks would be hypothetical new anomalies. We could fly or drive from one interesting place to another and we would have months worth of content to explore. The same could be done for the Mun - increase the number of interesting spots to visit from 8 to 80 (there are surely enough craters) and other celestial bodies. All that's needed to make the planets dense for exploration is creativity and a lot of work.
  6. Finding and visiting an anomaly or a place with a beautiful vista or planting the flag on the tallest mountain or deepest crater is my main motivation for playing KSP. For me and probably a lot of other players that's what the payoff is for the effort of designing, testing, building, flying and landing. And I don't want to take in everything with a probe or rover (these should have visual limitations) - the full experience should be available "through the eyes of a kerbal". The reason for this post is that in most dev videos and posts it has been hinted that we are going to get a lot of interesting places to visit, crafted by the environment and creative teams. But we have seen nothing specific. Please add a lot of amazing content to discover and spots to travel to in the game - also to the stock system on EA release. There's so much potential and KSP1 really missed the target in this regard. Somewhat related topic:
  7. Are there any mods that add more anomalies to discover? Bonus if they're compatible with Galileo Planet Pack, but it would be nice to have more things to find for any system in general.
  8. So, I had dabbled in SCANsat prior to 1.2, but now that Kerbnet is here I'm quite content with the stock solution. I'm presently living happily with Kerbin and Mun each having a triplet of relay satellites. Having over a dozen probes other spacecraft with probe cores, sometimes anomalies show up... And sometimes they don't. It seems as though one given probe sees a handful of them, another probe might see the same ones or different ones. I found one on the Mun and landed near it - the lander probe core never saw it no matter how close it was, but the surveyor that marked it with a waypoint spotted it from the SOI change on. I'm wondering if this is limited to a vessel or a core. I.e. if I have 30 probe cores on one craft, am I more likely to find more anomalies, or would 30 separate probes do the trick? Does anything reset them so it's prudent to check again later? Do different cores have better odds? Do the old ore survey scanners come into play? Why isn't there a KSPedia page that gets me pointed in the right direction with definitive answers? Despite the rant, I'm mostly just curious. I'm excited to start finding some of the easter eggs I've never seen for myself, but I just wonder what it'll take to be sure I've got them all. Prior to 1.2 I've only ever spotted the closest few to KSC and one Mun arch. Today I've found the Armstrong Memorial with the help of my probes - yay!
