  1. Thanks! I'll do it this way then. I started from ScienceOnly and tried to copy back & modify here and there, but without success. Is it possible just by changing the config files to add in-game config options to turn on/off certain features?
  2. Science-only config again :) Are radiation belts and solar storms disabled or I messed up something? Those influence science as well, not just kerbal health. Is it possible to turn those back on? I can contribute if you tell me where to start...
  3. Great mod, I'm re-exploring! ------------ Edit ---------- It seems that the ScienceOnly config is not for 3.2, but not obvious from CKAN ------------ /Edit ---------- I'm using KerblismScienceOnly config on KSP 1.8.1 (is it compatible?) with UnKerballedStart and others, and found a bug, I think. When I change the probe core (stayputnik) to enable the Geiger counter, there is an error. FPS is dropped, log is full of [EXC 15:04:18.906] NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object KERBALISM.Experiment.Update () (at <d0c64642e7b34b419c7638a19618d36d>:0) UnityEngine.DebugLogHandler:LogException(Exception, Object) ModuleManager.UnityLogHandle.InterceptLogHandler:LogException(Exception, Object) UnityEngine.Debug:CallOverridenDebugHandler(Exception, Object) , and there is no Geiger counter. Screenshots, logs are here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cn5Nvfxi5cZ-A74TlaoI247ojspId6N- Did I miss a mod dependency?
  4. Hi, I'm using UI scale (1.8x) that is a bit buggy in 1.8.1, as after every restart I need to go to settings and accept it to apply the proper scale. SCANsat windows scale properly (unlike some others'). However, not just the scale, but the screen position of the windows change too. In case a window was far right or down, it disappears from the screen. It is not a critical issue, as resetting the UI scale or editing settings.cfg brings them back, but it would be nice to keep the windows on-screen.
  5. Is it possible to reload the config from the file while experimenting with EVE? When I make some mess with the editor (quite frequently), it would be great just to reload...
  6. Hi, Is it possible to change the font size? @ 4K with my eyes I need to enlarge the UI elements by 50% to make it comfortable...
  7. No, not really. It requires a fresh start :) Now there are logs from a new game: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cn5Nvfxi5cZ-A74TlaoI247ojspId6N-?usp=sharing 1) Discovered Minmus using the telescope. 2) Flyby 3) Observatory works. 4) Orbit, scan biomes & altimetry 5) Observatory works. 6) Land, takeoff, return to Kerbin. 6) Observatory is dead.
  8. Same here. I was hesitating if it is Minmus or the upgrade of the radar facility that causing this. Also, entering the observatory bugs out after it: no visible window, but locks the rest of the screen. Have to kill KSP from the shell. Linux, 1.8.1. I do not have the logs.
  9. Great idea, thanks! I need to look into how to recompile Persistent Rotation for 1.8, it seems.
  10. First of all, thank you for the hard work and all efforts you put into this mod! One bug (or feature?) really drives me crazy in KSP. The craft has a strange rotation when the frame reference is the body it is orbiting, instead of the Sun (or better, the "space"). I have reported it here, but there are many discussions elsewhere from years back. With some planet packs (e.g., at Kaelon in Snarkiverse + Kerbol Origins) is really annoying. Is it possible to edit the threshold (100km on most of the bodies above sea level) with Kopernicus? If so, then which parameter is it? It would be great to set it to a fixed value, but even better if we could set to max(atmospehere_height, max_terrain_height)+1m. --- Edit --- On GitHub: inverseRotThresholdAltitude = ?Altitude where the Game switches the reference frame in meters Is this the one? I try to test...
  11. I love this idea! Have you thought about to extend the functionality of the science lab module? It converts science to data, then back to science already. Of course on a single track. Then, Construction Time is delaying the research process (among others).
  12. In case you are OK with blocking the whole game from connecting to the net, then Linux: iptables -A OUTPUT -m owner --uid-owner {USERNAME} -j REJECT Windows: just block the program accessing the net.
  13. Does it? KEI button was not visible in my fresh install...
  14. According to https://unity3d.com/legal/privacy-policy , they collect a good amount of personal data and using it in advertisement and other commercial activities. You can NOT stop KSP/Unity sending the data. The only thing you can do is to opt out on their web site and hope the best. Looking at the network traffic it connects multiple times to various unity sites even though after the first connection it should just receive the information about the opt out decision of the user. At the minimum, this is really questionable behaviour that can be easily considered as non-ethical. It would really worth a test against GDPR and similar legislations. In my opinion, KSP shall go to quarantine and be cut off from all network traffic. It is fairly easy to do in all major operating systems. However, it should not be the concern of the user to do so, but the application (KSP; and yes, I do not, and should not care if they use Unity or whatever library, that is their decision, not mine) developer should give a clear choice.
  15. Hi all! I've just found Kerbalism recently and loving it absolutely! It was working perfectly in 1.5.1, but now as I have installed 1.6.0 (vanilla) then added mods through CKAN (so no copying of old files etc.), Kerbalism does not really work. I have KSP 1.6.0 on Linux, Kerbalism 2.1.0.0, ModuleManager 3.1.2, CommunityResourcePack 1.0.0, DeepFreeze 0.23.9.0, PlanetaryBaseSystem 1.6.6 etc. There are no GUI elements of Kerbalism at all (editor, in flight, settings menu (should there be?)). There are no consumable resources in the capsules (CommunityResourcePack error?). Any idea where to start looking? ---> Found Kerbalism 2.1.1 now ---> Works
  16. Many thanks, I'll test immediately! Yesterday I got a bit confused watching a video (https://youtu.be/-2Ad7suNi_Q?t=3543), then I realized that he uses ScienceAlert too.
  17. Great replacement of [x] Science!, however missing the feature of the status window listing all/available science :) I'm not sure if the bug is caused by this mod, but might have something to do with it. Sometimes if there is a science alert (brings out of warp, deployed manually) before a maneuver node, then at the burn there is no countdown to zero, but the remaining dV is frozen.
  18. Hi, Thanks for the mod, I absolutely love it! --- My kind feature request :) --- Have you been thinking about an extension to gather science from orbit as well? What I have in mind is a probe with stable, mostly polar orbit (differentiate high and low using e.g., either Pe or Ap) and certain science tools on it. It is similarly (or even more) boring to run several orbits, stop at each and every biome and send home the stuff. Even though I use [x] Science to jump out from warp this is just too repetitive. It would be great to send home reports from all biomes with normal transmit penalties and considering the reusability of the instrument with one click. For the sake of simplicity, disregard electric capacity etc.
  19. Thanks! Deleting and reinstalling did not help somehow. But when I started the game without 2.5x, it cleared something. So when I downloaded again and started the game with it, the game started to work.
  20. Hi, I've updated ModuleManager to the latest and it seems that it cannot handle some of the patches either from Kopernicus or from Sigma Dimensions: [LOG 14:14:29.881] [ModuleManager] :FOR[SIGDIM2] pass [LOG 14:14:29.882] [ModuleManager] Applying update Sigma/Dimensions/Configs/ReDimension/applySettings/@Kopernicus to Kopernicus/Config/System/Kopernicus [LOG 14:14:29.882] [ModuleManager] Applying update Sigma/Dimensions/Configs/ReDimension/atmoScale/@Kopernicus to Kopernicus/Config/System/Kopernicus [LOG 14:14:30.035] [ModuleManager] Applying update Sigma/Dimensions/Configs/ReDimension/lightScale/@Kopernicus to Kopernicus/Config/System/Kopernicus [LOG 14:14:30.069] [ModuleManager] Applying update Sigma/Dimensions/Configs/ReDimension/newCacheFiles/@Kopernicus to Kopernicus/Config/System/Kopernicus [WRN 14:14:30.103] [ModuleManager] Cannot find key name in Body [ERR 14:14:30.104] [ModuleManager] Error - Cannot parse variable search when inserting new key cacheFile = #Kopernicus/Cache/$name$.bin .... Any quick advice?
  21. Yes. isDeadMenu=(1_DeadKraken OR 1_IceHenge) AND 2 AND 3 AND 4
  22. Just by removing the 2.5x scale mod, but keeping Sigma Dimensions the menu works again. So I need all: Galileo Planet Pack with GameData/GPP/GPP_KSC++/Anomalies/DeadKraken.cfg and IceHenge.cfg Sigma Dimensions Rescale 2.5x Kerbal-Konstruct In case any of these is missing, the main menu works fine.
