  1. Val will be wearing the pants for sure. JEBEDIAAAAHHH! When are you going to take me to the Botanical Gardens like you promised?!??? Clean up those Boosters cluttering up the yard!!! Will you stop blowing up the children I can't hear myself think! You left the Snacks machine open AGAIN! JEBEDIAH! Are you listening to me?
  2. That doesn't sound appealing at all, if that's how it works.
  3. I'm relatively new here and I've noticed this.. It's a bit of a shame. It is a game after all, we should all be having fun and making wack stuff that explodes other stuff and taking mad screenies and being rep-santa. My favourite posts are the ones where someone has made some crazy contraption fly, or completed some insane mission, like the guy that drove around Eve... It inspires me to try other things. I don't particularly like these threads where it's 'SQUAD did something bad IMO' or 'Is KSP dead?'... It's not very positive, and it's not at all inspirational. Mods: Maybe there could be a sub-forum where people can have a whinge about SQUAD or KSP (and the rest of us can ignore it). It could be called 'The place for super important opinions that really really matter' or something.
  4. Well, now there's female Kerbals, so anything is possible... Would be a bit weird if Bill and Bob started sprouting Kerblings :/ Send up Jeb and Val for a trip to the closest solar system, they keep themselves amused on the trip, and when they arrive you have a colony of little spacefrogs ready to set up shop.
  5. I really like the fact that KSP is non-violent, so I think if i did join a server, it would be one sans-weapons. I'm just wondering what you could do to make that interesting? 'Hey man I'll meet you on the dark side of Laythe and we can dock' :| How does Timewarp work? Do you just have to do everything realtime? That's a real mystery to me.
  6. I do that as well, mostly so if I kill someone it doesn't matter as much :/ Which brings me to another point. Say in the event that what you're suggesting was implemented; If you just want to load a craft file, do you then have to wait, or warp until you can get it on the launchpad? Or, if you want to do several successive launches, and you already have the designs ready-made, do you still have to wait? What if your gamestyle says, "I've designed that ship, it's now 'in production' and I can get a fresh one instantly whenever I need it" I really like the *idea*, but I would never install this as a mod, and I certainly wouldn't like it to be stock, and if it was, I'd want to be able to turn it off. If I couldn't turn it off, I'd find a mod to turn it off, or stop playing.
  7. This is for you guys. Green can be big like a mountain, or important like a river, or tall like a tree.
  8. Need bigger worms. Even at 50% S.O.L. (approx 150,000 km/s) it would still take about 10 years to reach our closest neighbouring solar system, Alpha Centauri. :| So if we translate that into stock KSP scale... at 50% light speed it would be a years journey.. As far as I know, there's mods that implement everything you're requesting. Maybe not galaxies but definitely Interstellar, RoverDude has an Albucierre warp drive, and I'm sure I saw wormholes somewhere.
  9. I reckon whatever version of windows these aliens dig up will BSOD for sure. Bets are on. Also they will marvel at the spinning magnetic disks that hold data, and having to physically touch things as a UI will take them straight back to the stone age. After they're done making fun of our archaic computers, they will obviously load up KSP. The load time will astound them, and then the inevitable crash and it BSODS (half billion old SATA drives are going to give up at some point even if it is Win8.1), Then they will definitely go beserk and destroy Earth. It is written.
  10. Yeah I get that it's not the same, I didn't mean that KSP would go pay to win. I see why that would seem like that's what I was saying. I just think it's fine as is. and I just realised I'm talking about the same thing on 2 threads Just install Kerbal Build Time, problem solved.
  11. The Game is in Beta CKAN works wonderfully, in most cases. It's a WIP like anything else, but it functions. Windows 64bit is not supported. Linux 64 works great. Your choice of OS is the issue (Disclaimer: I dislike Windows with a vengeance so you can't expect anything more from me )
  12. ^^^ THIS. How on Kerbin do you think that time passing at 50x while you're trying to design a ship isn't going to feel rushed? Especially if you were approaching a transfer window or some other event. I know myself well enough that I would definitely feel extremely pressured and forget stuff, if that was the case. Kerbals would die. It would be bad. Not fun. I would stop playing. Another point that I just thought of. Often I'm just in VAB designing and testing craft, sometimes multiple craft for specific missions that I don't intend to launch properly for quite some time, so lots of launch and revert. I don't use hyperedit so this is a time-consuming process in itself. There's no way I could do that if time was passing at 50x in the VAB.
  13. It reminds me of those 'Pay to win' games where you have to wait for something to be built, unless you want to purchase a Kerbodollar and it will complete instantly. If this is ever implemented into KSP I will abandon ship, lightning quick.
  14. Time running in VAB/SPH I could deal with. 10-50x?? No way. I would feel too rushed.
  15. Let me rephrase... How would you LIKE to see it go?
  16. I'll be having one of those upon release.
  17. Yeah that makes sense, it's a pretty drastic change.
  18. So will it be public or private servers, or a mix of both?
  19. I know I know, you're going to say 'have a look at DMP' but I'm actually interested to hear from the community. How do you see Multi-Player KSP working? Is there Multiple KSC's on Kerbin? How do you interact with other players? Versus or Coop? What's the objective/endgame? I wonder if once it becomes stock, if it won't become the focus of KSP, and the single player get forgotten about/neglected. Personally I don't play many MP games, mainly because usually they're populated by a zillion 12 year olds with monumental attitudes. I sincerely hope it doesn't degenerate into "OMGLOL I just launched a SRB into yur VAB N00b!!!!!1!!" What's your thoughts?
  20. They would surely destroy Earth after the first BSOD.
  21. OHAI! Welcome to the home of the asparagus frog! Happy travels. PS Don't feel bad about the crashes, it's what makes KSP great.. My advice: Switch to Linux
