  1. So what's the timeframe? Should I put off playing for another week or is it going to be a few months until this all drops???
  2. oooooh 2.2, 3.0, I'm excited! (I'm limiting my playtime now so I don't get too far along in career before it becomes slightly more difficult.
  3. So for the sake of mining, do Hydrates and Water fulfill the same function?? Can I get water from mining crustal Hydrates? Edit: Tested this and no.
  4. So how do you mine on Minmus in this? As I understand from the manual, you need access to both regolith and water if not in atmosphere in order to synthesize the ingredients needed. But in scanning the planet, I don't see any place that has both of these, it's only one or the other. What am I missing??

  6. Downloaded this and happy to say it fixed all my space center stutters. Which is nice because I was previously stuttering ~1/sec.

  8. Yeah this is how I feel I guess. I just downloaded Kerbalism because I had played all the way to endgame on another file but I imagined and RP'd all the limits. And sometimes I would cheat if I messed something up. So I figured I'd give myself some hard limits. And I must say that I love it so far. I feel like a burden has been lifted. No longer must I pretend that they're exercising or have enough to eat.
  9. In career mode. I know Kerbals are immortal(ish) and the game has no set time limit. But do y'all ever feel like you don't want to let too much time pass? I have this sense of dread that won't go away that like if I get to 100 years or something, everything will somehow break and I will game over.
  10. Did it once after three times of trying, with 5 Kerbals. First couple times I didn't make my heat shields symmetrical and it flipped on descent. Then I didn't realize that I didn't make enough TWR. But yeah, I launched from roughly 4km from "sea" level and had around 15k in dV. That was maybe 1 version ago. REMEMBER that the atmospheric models got more realistic as versions passed, so if you're looking up pics of people's single stage to Eve and back vessels, they might be too old and not even come close to making it anymore. It really is one of the hardest challenges in the game. You'll get it though.
  11. Cool, thanks! I just noticed that pressurization isn't required on Laythe, I assume because of breathable atmosphere. Does this mean that habitats are depressurized/are tanks devoted to oxygen/nitrogen easily refilled??
  12. So I ended up uninstalling and doing a clean install after cleaning and it's working fine now. I reinstalled all my mods and everything is nominal. So I think it was just a weird issue on my end. Thanks for helping though. I did want to ask about mining and if there's a way to expand the infinite propellant cheat to water/nitrogen/all extra resources for the purposes not doing repeated refueling runs and killing my game enjoyment. If not, is mining really that much more complicated or is it just that it makes use of all the resources?
  13. I tried a manual install, no change. Still cannot see gravity ring or the artificial light option for greenhouses. I am not using a different tech tree. The only mods I'm using that alter the tech tree are Scansat, SpaceY, planetary base mod.
  14. Hey so I just downloaded this from CKAN and have a few questions/issues that I have seen solutions to yet in this forum. I am running this with Planetary Base Systems Inc mod. 1. I have part files for the gravity ring in my directory, but it's not in my game at all. This is regardless of whether it's sandbox or not. Was it removed and I just am not seeing it in this topic??? 2. There isn't a button to turn on artificial lights in either the Planetary Base greenhouse or the Kerbalism greenhouse. Was this removed?? 3. Is the hitchhiker part the only part that offers exercise? If you're on a planet with significant gravity, are the exercise requirements less or non-existent?

The need to rotate Kerbals so they don't go crazy is kind of turning me off. If I have empty seats, I would think they would manage their own lives (I know they can't auto-rotate, but I don't like that I personally have to move them when the values are already present. How do you reconcile this? I really like the idea of space weather/radiation/air and food, but the whole exercise and micromanaging thing is eh to me.
  16. I just wonder if you noticed that it takes longer for your craft to "lock on to" nodes. Like if you set to prograde, does it take a lot longer with high performance setting for craft to actually reach the prograde marker? I can't tell if I'm imagining it.
  17. Dang, thanks. I was actually really surprised at how much this helped. One thing though, has anyone else noticed that craft have trouble following maneuver nodes with the higher performance config?? I don't know if I'm imagining it or not.
  18. How about mod performance alongside Planetary base? I use that mod and this mod seems to cause a serious performance hit around ships with PB parts on them. Also SpaceY heavy lifters/ This is a really cool mod and I really want to use it, but the fps drop is just too serious for me right now.
  19. So I've been getting this a lot lately on Minmus and Tylo. Any ideas as to what could be causing it??? I can see straight through the planet. Seems to go away when I get far away.
  20. I'm having two visual problem that I wasn't having before with this mod pack: First one: The sun is now always yellow. Prior to this last release, it was bright white with intense lens flares when in space. Now it only occasionally has lens flares and is always a dull yellow. I've tried taking out Distant Object and Texture Replacer, hasn't helped. EDIT: FIXED, just replaced Scatterer. Second: Eve currently looks like this: http://imgur.com/a/eTJD2. Mountains or high spots poke out of the atmosphere as purple splotches. This is still a problem, also the atmosphere glare seems to come out really far in a solid line.
  21. So I'm getting city lights on Moho, anyone else having this problem?? They only show up in flight, not in the map.
  22. I've been having a lot of issues with them as well. They've been pretty off (by like half a year) or keep resetting themselves. I'm using Olex calculator for now. They've not slipped up on maneuver alarms though, which are obviously very important.
  23. Windowing the game and then returning to full screen works for me. But I have this same problem.
  24. I am trying really really really really hard not to play KErbal. I have big enough ships now that my cpu lags when I try to do major stuff. Planning to colonize Laythe. I vowed to myself that I wouldn't touch the game until 1.1
