  1. Ah, Arkas. I felt like that mod had a lot of room for potential and growth, and now that room has been created! I can't wait to see how Arkas is continued.
  2. I would love to work on this thing, but... I got like 2-3 planet packs I'm working on. I can't make gas giant textures. I'm pretty good at making terrestrial planet textures. But making textures for EVERYTHING? I'll need help with that, and I'm not too sure how many other users are willing to continue Dark Days.
  3. Oh I forgot to mention that I've nicknamed Alpha Centauri Bb Eurytion after the centaur who led the war against the Lapiths in Greek Mythology.
  4. Wow, thanks for including my system suggestion! Also, I have names for the Wolf 1061 and Alpha Centauri systems. Wolf 1061 is named Alaunius, after the Gaulish deity of the Sun, healing, and prophecy, similar to Apollo. The planets are named after settlements with a historical connection to the god via monuments. From b through d, the planets are Ardoch (WL-1061 b), Alcester (WL-1061 c), and Normandy (WL-1061 d).The name for Wolf 1061 d is also a little tribute to the Mass Effect game series.

  6. How about the solar system Gliese 3293? It's a red dwarf star with 42% the Sun's mass and about 40% its diameter. GJ 3293 also has three gas giants, all in its habitable zone. There could be some very interesting moons! I've also named the entire system. GJ 3293 is named Euanthe, after the mother of the Charities in Greek mythology. The 3 planets are named after the Charities. In order, the planets are Aglaea, Euthymia, and Thalia.
  7. Unfortunately, I never really gave any good names to the planets around HD 10180. I did, however, give Planet c the name "Celaeno", after a lover of Poseidon.
  8. @AndrewDrawsPrettyPictures Woohoo! Congrats on the release! Which of HD 10180's planets did you include? Also, if you want, I can provide names for the exoplanets. I've given about 200 exoplanets and some stars proper names from ancient mythologies (Greek, Roman, Basque, Slavic, Norse, Irish, Celtic, etc.) and languages.
  9. @Xenonclave Ooh, those Eeloo moons look nice! Keep up the good work! Although... Alu looks a little too much like Plock from OPM. Then again, it's still the first version of your mod. Beros and Kyx look weird again, like Serc. I've had that issue with my moon Fazz. I'll look for a way to fix it, since I also want to prevent it in IA-Revived.
  10. I would absolutely love a tight asteroid belt, but it would be impossible around even the smallest star. How about... around a planet? Like a ring system with actual particles!

  13. Yeah, I do, but there are also a lot of planets similar to Saturn in Space Engine. Same with Saturn analogues like Sarnus, Sarvin, and Saru.
  14. That's just the way Kittopia works. After creating the texture, you need to create files for it and fix your config file so it reads the textures.
  15. There's an old thread by @BigBoy734 about finding Kerbal Space Program planets/moons in the universe simulator Space Engine. I've been continuing that search, so I decided to make a thread for it as well. Keep in mind that... Other users can participate. Here are some of the bodies I have come across in Space Engine that resemble KSP planets: LAYTHE (Alien Version) APHRODITE (Kerbal Galaxy 2) CITE (Kerbal Galaxy 2) EVE (Desert) EVE (Oceania) ERNUS-SHAYLE HYBRID (New Horizons/Kerbol Plus) CITE (Icy Version) JOOL ODYSSEUS and ATHENA (Odysseus Planet Pack) PLANET K (Dark Secrets) RYLA/SARNUS (Kerbal Galaxy 2/Outer Planets Mod) Alien Laythe has land masses, but they're tiny and hidden under the atmosphere.

  19. That's an interesting concept, but I was thinking along the lines of @Artyomka15: Giving each star at most 3 or 4 planets and a few moons. However, I need to talk to @Galacticvoyager about that idea. And about incorporating multiple planet packs in the 2 galaxies, why not? It can be a great way to revive dead star packs like all three Kerbal Galaxies (yes, there were three), Asteria, and Supernova Pulsar's three solar systems.   20. This is really cool. Planet K's texture looks amazing. However, Kiar seems to use Vall's height map. Try to make a non-stock bump map if you haven't already. The good news is that it is rather easy to make Vall-like planets with Kittopia.

Well, the galactic cores are going to be a little complicated. @Galacticvoyager and I have decided that each galaxy will have their own body (one named "Miluwy Pass", etc.), and overlapping that body will be the black hole(s). The holes will have thousands of times more gravity than Kerbol, but their SOIs will be rather small. This way it won't be impossible to leave the galaxy. The Galactic Core Bodies (GCB's) will have somewhat low gravity where it is realistic to our own universe but not TOO low. Their SOI's will be the diameter of the galaxy. The escape velocities will be similar to our own Milky Way.
  22. Honestly, once you get the hang of it, VonoroCraters isn't so difficult. If you want regular craters, don't change their curve. Set the VonoroiDisplacement to 0 and all simplex values (except for the seed and values with 0.5) to 1. Change the deformity to make the craters shallow or deep. You can also put in multiple sets of VonoroiCraters, just make sure to give them different orders (Ex: 100, 101). I'm doing this with a certain little planet of mine...
  23. Kluster is still in its baby stages, so @Galacticvoyager and I need some suggestions and ideas for the mod. Right now, the system we're most focused on right now is Poait. We would like some suggestions for the system, like maybe another planets or moons for Savaos. Suggestions for other stars and other things in the mod (easter eggs, extra features, etc.) are welcome too. WANT TO SEE THIS MOD'S DEVELOPMENT? Kluster Development Thread
  24. This is cool, but I'm doing something similar in Interstellar Adventure Revived. I have dibs on K2-3, HR 8832, 55 Cancri, PSR-B1257+12, and Kepler-296. But anyways, I can't wait to see how that mod comes out!
