Yes. That is precisely the problem I am having in every detail. Launch straight up into space and then let it fall down naturally into the atmosphere. Tiles appear as a result. The only way I have overcome this, is to switch to the Tracking Station and back to the ship before entering the atmosphere. Then everything is normal. Also, I concur Kopernicus version has no effect. This is an issue with RSS or RSSVE. Thanks. Edit: The above problem with floating tiles (somewhat different than old Scatterer floating tiles issue) seems to be an RSS problem. It occurs even without RSSVE installed. Just an FYI.

It appears in my case, the current 'floating tiles' is due to Kopernicus. Even with RSSVE and scatterer completely removed, I still have the problem with RSS all by itself. However, when I revert back to previous Kopernicus-1.3.0-5, the problem goes away. Perhaps that's already common knowledge and just me who didn't read properly somewhere. In any case, It looks like I can finally settle into a new game!

I"m still getting flying tiles using ksp 1.3, scatterer-0.0320b, RSSVE-1.2.2.1622-RC4. From what I can see, latest scatterer does not fix this issue. I've checked, double-checked, reinstalled fresh ksp but no dice. For me, I have no interest playing without RSS and RSSVE, but the game is unplayable with floating tiles. Just thought I'd mention before dumping the game and moving on. Thanks.

I think you are right to some extent - although I also looked at some real images from space and the termination isn't quite as sharp as my first image, but also not as 'smooth' as the second one as you point out. Also, the first (sharp) example has that strange yellowish gradient at the termination edge. Thanks.

That helped a lot. Now there is much more realistic graduation of Earth day/night instead of abrupt/sharp change. I"m launching from White Sands New Mexico. Date is April 2017. I'm not so concerned about lighting on the ground as I am appearance from space. Turning off EVE Integration solved the problem adequately for me. Thanks!

I finally have beeen able to get RSSVE working with KSP 1.3 by replacing "Earth" with "Kerbin" in the RSSVE configs. Scatterer - latest version Kopernicus - latest version RSS - latest version EVE - latest version RSSVE - latest version. Modify the following files: city_lights.cfg, clouds.cfg, Earth_Atmosphere.cfg, Earth_Ocean.cfg, RSSVE_Scatterer_Planetlist_Config.cfg Now I have Scatterer ocean effects, clouds, no floating tiles, and everything looks good as it did with previous KSP version 1.2. Thanks. EDIT: Cancel above. Galileo already solved the problem and has provided a patch file. My goof.

Thank you for clarifying. I apologize for my confusion on what the various mods do and how they interact. -
[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Terrain [v2.2.0] [20 March 2019]

I did notice significant terrain improvement upon installing newest Kopernicus compatible with 1.3. Really brings things to "life". -

I'm not having any trouble with latest Kopernicus. As I mentioned elsewhere, I'm using EVE (not SVE) and all works well with latest Scatterer. I'm not sure what's missing/broken. I did have to move away from RSS because new RSSVE configs haven't been produced for compatibility with Scatterer and the runway gaps are even worse with 1.3 than they were with 1.2, but that another subject unrelated to this. Again, great work! -

Very nice job on the Kerbin terrain! Since I have a new install (KSP 1.3), I haven't checked out the other planets, but looking at them in map-view, they look great also! Thanks for putting this together. -

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech

Thanks. I apologize for not mentioning I am running RSS. I meant to, but I neglected. -
[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Observe replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Not so easy; because RSS requires Kopernicus. Only way is for me to uninstall Real Solar System and all the rest associated with it and go back to vanilla game. I may do that anyway; given there are still some key mods that are not compatible with KSP 1.3. Thanks. -

I'm still getting runway gaps with KSP 1.3 and latest version Kopernicus. I thought this was to be fixed with 1.3? Thanks. -
[RSS]Terrain issue
Observe replied to BUGescape's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I still have significant runway gaps with KSP 1.3 and Kopernicus latest version. The gaps are in the same places as always. I thought KSP 1.3 was going to solve this. Or is it that Kopernicus hasn't fixed it on their end yet? Thanks.
