  2. Sure , take your time.As I can see you're a RSS/RO/RP-0 collaborator , so I believe you have lots of things to do other than fixing a mod just because I asked.But by the way , thanks a lot , I really appreciate it.
  3. I would fix the mods for 1.2.2 and 1.3 , but I know nothing on modding and MM patching , so I just put this here hoping someone fixes it. :I Also , WInged game me some parts , but as @MeCripp said , some of them are missing.

I'm trying to get to Mars in RSS/RO with an heavy ship , insipired by the Constellation program from NASA (2005-2009) and the only mod that gives the BNTR (Bimodal Nuclear Thermal Rocket) engines is way outdated and all the links are broken(mod name : Constellation Essentials).I luckily got the parts from Winged, but they are made for 1.1.3 and I'd like to use them in 1.2.2.The only part that works (1 out of 4 parts) is the engine mount for the BNTRs. I don't know much about modding/fixing ,so I gently ask someone that understands coding and Module Manager to help me.Thanks!   7. Yeah that adds more "atmosphere" to the situation and I will probably use it.Now I have big docking ports (SpaceY Expanded).I needed them because..you know...I'm docking 40000 tons tanks and I really don't want them to wobble during the TransMars injection!

Your solutions looks good to me , I'll try them , thanks!Yeah the main problem was mostly structural reasons (it will have a pretty heavy payload , powerful engines and it has to spin up to make a simulated gravity) I'm trying to do the Ares concept (put in orbit different parts of a huge spacecraft , assemble them and then depart) , so I need big docking ports to attach all those big tanks together and then dump some after they are depleted.Thank for the links , anyway!

Hi KSP Community.I have a problem: I have to dock two big fuel tanks (around 6-8m diameter) in orbit for a trip to Mars.Realism Overhaul gives you pre-sized docking ports and TweakScale can't modify them.So yeah , solutions?Mods that add more docking ports for RO?A cfg to add more different sized docking ports of the same type?I don't want to modify a pre existing docking port , since I'm already using them on smaller ships and I fear to break them by doing that.Thanks!
  10. I'm using the Astris engine at the moment.It's powerful , restartable but not throttleable.About the TWR you look to be right , I've only to slow down from 30 m/s to 5-6 m/s for a good landing with a refinery.Thanks for the tips.

  13. Ok so I tried some stuff and I got this It's an exoskeleton with 4 engines (pretty high TWR though) , restartable (infinite ignitions) and with 930 m/s ΔV.Still , the engines are pretty big.
  14. Thanks for the TWR tip and don't worry about the progression(It's a sandbox game!). About my mods , this is my Gamedata Folder : If you have some mods on landing engines to suggest (or mods to remove if you think they are just a waste of precious RAM) tell me. Oh I know that , but here the main problem is a lack of small (and powerful enough) retro rockets that I can fit on the craft.About the ΔV (on Mars for retro fire) is about 200-300.I can't give you the ΔV for the rocket , since I still have to build one big and powerful enough for heavy payload to Mars.

The parachutes slows down , but I have no small retro rockets for soft landing (we all now how Mars is on landings with parachutes only).So yeah , the main question is : 1) Engines for powered landings?(restartable , possibly) 2) TWR needed to have a slow and steady landing? So..I'm trying to start a colony on Mars in RSS/RO and I'm pretty much stuck.I landed on the Moon and landed some rovers on Mars , no problem.Now I have to land heavier payload on Mars , but it seems I'm not able to do so. This is what I should land.I already tried everything , from parachutes to big heatshields (I don't have small and powerful retro rockets, sadly).So yeah , that's the problem.Thanks for everyone that gives me a tip.

MEL did an amazing work , but it's still a stationary lander and it wasn't enough.So I started my Curiosity-ish replica for Mars.Called my scientist and started building one.Three months and it was already done.We packed it inside the same type of payload fairing as the MEL (this rover is even lighter!) and sent it to Mars on the same type of rocket.Seven minutes of terror and it was done , it landed safely on the surface at the perfect speed of 0.6 m/s.After a few check that everything was okay , we started using those expensive scientific instruments on the rover , and do you want to know what we discovered on the landing site?There is water on Mars!We also ran some experiments for tracking and geolocation for future manned mission.Beautiful mission.
  18. Today I landed on Mars ( RSS/RO) for the first time.The payload was MEL (Mars Explorative Lander , 9 tons).Its mission objective is taking data on the composition of the Martian atmosphere and the radiation levels , plus some photos of the landing zone for future unmanned/manned landings.

  20. Yeah I saw it's still in development (the drill doesn't work as example).Can you give me a date (at least an extimation) on when the mod will be at least Beta?

I have to do a Mars Direct-like mission and I need to produce fuels In-Situ.Here comes the problem...Real Fuels uses complex fuels and the stock ISRUs produce only Monopropellant/Liquid Fuel/Oxidizer.So here's the question : Is there a way/mod to fix this?Do you have plans of integrating ISRU with Real Fuels production?

This mod is truly beautiful and makes the game a lot more enjoyable , but I ran into a pretty big problem : I'm trying to make a Constellation Mars mission and I need to refuel my ships with ISRUs on the surface of Mars , but the in-game stock ISRUs produce Oxidizer and Fuel only (so not the fuels RO uses).Is there a way to fix this or a mod?

  24. I fixed it.I found that some graphical mods were Interfering with this mod.I solved by creating a new KSP folder without those graphical mods and use it for taking screenshots with the KVV mod
