  1. It's calmed down as long as you stay out of the KSP 2 channels, those are near-constantly full of random dumb "arguments." You can just search the messages from certain people and sort through the garbage though.
  2. Hi, longtime user of MLP here. First off, thank you for developing and maintaining this mod - it's easily one of my favorite mods of all time. I'm interested in using MLP's part assets in Unreal Engine 5 for a cinematic. UE5 doesn't have a .mu importer, so I'm curious if the base 3d models for MLP's parts are available anywhere. So far, I've been exploring using the .mu import/export plugin for Blender to get these assets out of .mu and into standard 3d model formats, but the workflow is very time-consuming and buggy, so I figured that I'd ask here, as it could save me a lot of time and bugfixing . Thank you!
  3. A lot of KSP Discord servers end up devolving into topics that are borderline and well within NSFW and topics not suitable for this forum. Lowne's and Piolet's are widely regarded to be some of the most extreme ones in this group by the general community. It is, however, important to note that servers like this are not the only kinds of KSP Discord servers. Many content creators and groups have their own, much better moderated servers.
  4. I'm aware of Tweakscale's lack of support for mods in general - I normally write my own configs based upon the Tweakscale documentation but in this case the Daedelus engines simply would ignore my configs. Even after repeatedly consulting the Tweakscale documentation and example configs, I was unable to find the issue. It doesn't really matter to me anyway, as I don't plan on playing much more KSP 1 before KSP 2 releases.
  5. Thank you so much! I'm really happy that you got to see it! I'll definitely keep y'all updated as I progress! I'm glad you liked the mass driver; I put a lot of work into getting that shot as smooth as possible, so I'm happy that you liked it. Thank you very much for your response and good luck with KSP 2!
  6. Just realized that I forgot to hit Submit Reply 9 hours ago , here's a cinematic montage I made as a sort of finale cinematic for KSP 1:
  7. I did multi-instance once for Imagination Takes Flight, but it was pretty laggy from KSP eating my GPU for breakfast.
  8. Basic specs are a Ryzen 9 7950X CPU, Nvidia 3090 GPU, and 128GB RAM (this was due to a mishap xD, I don't need the 128 gigs )
  9. Around 15ish fps. The 3 Daedaluses are a consequence of Tweakscale being buggy as usual xD. I wanted to use one large one, but Tweakscale wasn't having it, so I ended up using 3.
  10. Installing 1.3.1 instead of the latest is no longer necessary as Linx added backwards compatibility in 2.0.6 (not sure about the version number but BC was definitely added).
  11. You should be able to install the latest version of Parallax with RSS although scatters won't appear unless you install configs. As far as I know, there's no public RSS configs right now, although people are working on it.
  12. Parallax 2.0 changed a lot of stuff relating to configs - the ones you see there are tessellation configs. Parallax now utilizes a separate file for handling ground scatters, which RSS lacks. That's old and wrong now - IIRC in the latest Parallax release Linx added backwards compatibility for 1.3.1 configs.
  13. Thank you! I appreciate it! Thank you! Thank you both for your kind words and the ping Only around 2x maximum when framerate was a problem
  14. I never thought that on that evening in 2012 that a random game would eventually set me on a course to where I am now. Now that we are upon the eve of KSP1's great adventure, I wanted to highlight how KSP has affected me. I remember the first time I landed on the moon. At first, I was stupefied and elated at finally - finally! - succeeding where I'd failed dozens of times before. My lander parked beside me, I looked homeward to that beautiful blue and green marble - Kerbin. I was introduced to Kerbal Space Program at the age of eight. Over the course of the decade past, Kerbal has taught me the allure of spaceflight, from the celestial clockwork of orbital mechanics to the vast expanse of space. Ever since I first launched my first rocket all those years ago, I have been captivated by spaceflight. Kerbal taught me to love science, spaceflight, and engineering. It also changed the course of my life immensely. I will be attending college this year to pursue further education in physics and engineering. It is my hope that one day I will fulfill my dream of working in astronautics – a dream inspired by Kerbal Space Program. I’d like to extend my deepest thanks to the developers - the people who made Kerbal possible. Kerbal never would be as it is today if not for your enthusiasm, care, and dedication to Kerbal and its community. I’d also like to express my gratitude to the Kerbal community. Your passion for space exploration, commitment to teaching others, and infinite creativity and innovation has truly made an impact on my life. As a homage to KSP, I created a 10-minute long cinematic video montage. Go check it out if you want! (Moderators: please don't move this to Fan Works if you're considering it - the main point of this post is to talk about how KSP has influenced my life and give thanks, not the cinematic. )
  15. That's because you have Parallax 1.3.1 installed, which is an old version that does not include scatters. Additionally, base RSS does not include configs for Parallax scatters, so none will generate unless you either find some online or create your own.
  16. Congrats to the winners! I'm really, really hyped to see a cinematic-specific category, as there's quite a large community around them that just doesn't seem to gain the same traction on the forums as it does on Youtube and other platforms.
  17. Ah, my bad - I completely forgot about the other reaction path. Just for future reference as well, both reaction paths (tritium-producing and neutron-producing) occur pretty much at the same rate.
  18. While this statement is true, in reality it's inaccurate. D-D fusion itself doesn't produce neutrons, but it produces protium and tritium, the latter of which is recycled and fused with deuterium to produce neutrons. No D-D reactor is neutron-free.
  19. Merry (almost) Christmas! I decided to quickly throw together a mission to Neptune! I was thinking of doing this mission for a while, but I decided to grind it out and get it out by Christmas, so here we are. Enjoy!
  20. I'm pretty sure that those are supposed to be blocked out with the biome blacklist in the scatter config for Kerbin, but I could be wrong. (also Cerious cinematic hype?)
  21. FAR is definitely important to a complete RO experience (as it's literally Realism Overhaul) but it's certainly usable without FAR in my experience.
