Is there any precedent for the game to yell at you for "Too many heap sections" while it's loading while using this mod? *EDIT* Yeah, I'm getting an error that says "Fatal error in gc: Too many heap sections." Here's the error files: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/af3ux4tp69u6ycf/AAAJzLljyhCgETFXx306A3cBa?dl=0 Can anyone make heads or tails of this?

Airbus unveils 'Adeline' re-usable rocket concept

Out of curiosity, where does the image of the Sovereign class in your signature come from? -
A more custom space centre
Fox62 replied to TJPrime's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
See I would go for having a single launchpad, but a runway pointing west and a runway pointing north. That way my SSTOs can go into either orbit based on which runway I chose to spawn it on. -
[1.0.5] Heat Management (No longer supported)
Fox62 replied to Randazzo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
... Can you make a version of these that does double duty mounting more than one NERVA? It would make life a lot easier trying to build an interplanetary tug. -
[0.90] Procedural Dynamics - Procedural Wing 0.9.3 Dec 24

Let us know how that goes. -

KOSMOS 3/14/2015 RD-170 Family Released!
Fox62 replied to CardBoardBoxProcessor's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Is there a version that works with 0.90, or is the OP just not updated yet? -
Uh, I don't think there are any stock 3.75 millimeter parts.

Probably the best sr-71 blackbird made so far
Fox62 replied to Trollkowski's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Someone needs to make procedural Mk2 fuselage parts. Or fuselage parts that allow us to make our own fuselage system. That plus PWings would let us build procedural SR-71s with far fewer parts. -
[WIP] KERES - Stockalike launch vehicle and spacecraft mod
Fox62 replied to Borklund's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Maybe add some slight delay between the servos in the solar panels. The stock solar panels that unfold sort of like that have a delay, so if you want to go stock-a-like yours probably should too. -
Looking for Scientific Advisers/Editors for crossover
Fox62 replied to Fox62's topic in KSP Fan Works
Ok then. I should mention that Gmail and GDocs capability are required, so if you don't have a gmail, you might have a problem. Otherwise, shoot me a PM with your gmail address, and I'll share chapter 1 with you. -
Looking for Scientific Advisers/Editors for crossover
Fox62 replied to Fox62's topic in KSP Fan Works
I will note that the crossover involves Kerbals with FTL capability (20c Alcubierre Dirves), meaning you should have a reasonable grasp of dealing with very large crafts. That's not to say your contributions would not be useful, it is merely that the Lotus Corporation has created no civilian spacecraft equivalent in size to what is envisioned for the main Kerbal spacecraft in the story, and your military craft are not suited for the exploration work that would be done by this vessel. That, and the ship uses various bits of tech from mods such as Karbonite, Karbonite+, ExtraPlanetary Launchpads, TAC Life Support, and Deadly Re-entry, amongst some others, to reduce the needed carry weight for the trip, increase realism somewhat, and to make the ship a bit more interesting (and open up more possibilities for plot points!) So, your help would mostly be with the lighter exploration satellites and landers. -
[WIP] KERES - Stockalike launch vehicle and spacecraft mod
Fox62 replied to Borklund's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Well, Near Future comes in several modular packs, so if they don't want to install the whole mod, you can just refer them to Near Future Solar. -
Not sure if this goes in this part of the forum, but I am currently writing a MLP: FiM/KSP crossover. Yes, yes, I know, writing an MLP fanfic and asking for help on this website? Thing is, I'm not asking for help with the MLP parts, I'm more asking for help writing the Kerbal sections, the flight and spaceflight bits in particular. Because while I may play KSP a lot, I don't know the math behind it all that well, which means I run the risk of major errors that would be a big turn-off to any spaceflight enthusiast. That, and it would be nice to have someone to bounce spacecraft designs off of so I don't have to create a hodgepodge of parts that seems to change as the story goes on. To summarize, I am requesting assistance in this endeavour. Feel free to reply here if you are interested in joining this project, participants should ideally be able to use Google Drive's GDocs function, to facilitate collaboration on the story itself.

Neat. F**KING 10CHAR!

I imagine Spock would then correct the two of them, saying, "Technically, Captain, the ship is corkscrewing along its longitudinal axis, not spinning." And Kirk replies, "That's great, Spock, how the hell do we make it stop corkscrewing?!"
-
I just had a humorous mental image of the Enterprise corkscrewing it's way through space, with Kirk asking Scotty, "Why the hell are we spinning?"

[KOSS] Kerbin Orbiting Space Station
Fox62 replied to KASA Space's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Possible future modules: Lab module/docking adapter to allow further expansion OMS/Propulsion Module: Because why not turn it into the worlds most expensive Mun shuttle? That is all. -
I have an idea. Basically, it's technically not an SSTO, but it uses what are essentially re-usable RATO boosters to launch into a 45 degree trajectory up to 5000 feet, then pitches over and pulls a dive to build up speed to maintain flight. At the top of the spaceplane's arc, the boosters would seperate and return to the ground via parachutes. Granted, in real life, this is probably a stupid ass idea, but it sure as hell is very Kerbal.
-
The trailer does catch attention reasonably well, but I have NO clue what the hell is going on beyond the fact that two spacecraft shoot at each other in Jool orbit.
-
This is pretty cool. I also really like the fact that Freedom looks like the Buran when it's running with all four boosters.
