  1. When docking was new, it was a common misconception that it was necessary to target a ring first. I thought so, too, but it turned out that this has never been necessary. If you get close enough to any ring, the magnetism will be activated and draw the ships together, whether or not any rings or even the other ship have been targeted. The rings merely need to be the same size.

  2. People of good will can disagree about what does and what does not constitute racism, but I don't believe anyone here meant offense. Nevertheless, the discussion is not heading in a good direction, so let's turn our attention to more cheerful subjects on Christmas, okay? :) Closing thread.

  3. I haven't experienced any graphical problems on the forum.

    Everybody burns most of his/her fuel getting to orbit. That's just the nature of spaceflight. To minimize fuel use, build the smallest mission payload possible, then add stages below it until it can get where it is going. To increase range, trim starting at the top stages and only ever add to the bottom stages. Use the minimum number of engines required to make the ship move. But mostly, just try different designs and see what works.
