  1. I've searched so sorry if this has been asked. I hate when the stock toolbar gets cluttered with mods that don't use Blizzy's Toolbar so I've been considering adding that in myself to mods that I use for my own use. I was wondering exactly how I would go about doing this? I searched the toolbar thread and the link to the development thread where it stated you could find out is dead. I do have some minor modding experience from other games so I'm not 100% clueless and can probably get it done fairly easy if pointed in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
  2. My space station is up to 600 +, sometimes over 700 depending on what is docked to it and I'm still pulling 60 FPS.
  3. I see absolutely no reason to have more then 3 KSO relays...ever...3 KSO sats with the longest range antenna and the entire system is covered aside from maybe a few minutes you're on the wrong side of a planet but we are talking minutes.
  4. Both truss assemblies as well as solar arrays and radiators have been installed. The final connecting node has been attached to the front of the research lab. The zoology bay will be connected to its port side and the spectrometer attached to the starboard side. The top/bottom and front port will be used for docking ships and experiments for the lab. The cyclotron was delivered by an Omega Heavy LV and attached via docking. The cyclotron's solar arrays and truss segment will be delivered next and assembled on EVA. The station is very near completion. Still to be attached are the spectrometer, the zoology bay as well as kibble storage, cupola and one more ESP as well as a few odds and ends. A large module dedicated solely to powering the cyclotron may be designed in the future if needed using full cells and nuclear reactors should the stations current alkaline power cells and solar arrays prove not enough. It would be attached to the Kerbin facing port under the cyclotron. The station is now crewed by 6. 4 scientists, an engineer and a pilot. Crew upon completion will be as follows: 10 scientists (Assuming enough qualified applicants have been found by then) 1 Engineer 1 Pilot
  5. Quick update. The first section of the PIRS docking port and airlock has been installed as well as the ESP 1 and Airlock. This was done over the course of an hour long (real time) EVA by station engineers using KIS and KAS. The parts arrived via a Winterfell 1 launch vehicle with a dedicated KSS Supply 2nd stage. The crew was then swapped out after 56 days in orbit. Once the 2nd crew arrived the next load of parts arrived via a Phoenix 1XL launch vehicle with the dedicated KSS supply 2nd stage. Over the course of an hour long (real time) EVA, ESP 2 was attached to the airlock and the S1, S3, S4, S5, S6 truss segments along with the radiators and solar arrays were installed using KIS and KAS. The supply ship was undocked and deorbited before I realized the 4th solar array was still on board so it will arrive at a later date lol.
  6. Haven't played in A LONG TIME and am loving the new update. Been playing through career and have recently started hauling up and constructing a space station using docking and KIS. Thought I would share, its nothing special just haven't been on the forums in forever. Its based on the ISS as you will see and is being built in about the same order as well. I've changed the names but so far I have the Zarya, Zvezda with attached escape pod, Unity, Destiny modules attached as well as the Z1, S0 and P6 truss with solar array and radiator. P6 and the SAW are currently attached to the Z1 truss as it was during building of the ISS. My modules provide as follow: Ortus (Zarya) - Station Keeping, guidance, communications, power generation, atorage. Vitae (Zvezda) - Living space, research space, backup life support & comms, battery power, RCS fuel storage. Diversa (Unity) - Contains all life support for the station. Cognitis (Destiny) - Research lab. There is room and supplies for 6 but currently only 3 are aboard. Picture below, more to follow as progress is made.
  7. Well thats above my pay grade lol, oh well. I can't believe there isnt a single plugin for science storage. I've searched everywhere. Used to use SirDargons but they are no longer working or being worked on.
  8. How would I go about making a part grabble and attachable like some of the parts in KAS such as antennas etc. I want to take the science storage contitor made by Tal and allow it to be detached from the spacecraft and carried with the Kerbal and then reattached when finished with the EVA. Thanks!

  10. There is already tons of water on Duna, go to the North & South Pole. Plus, maybe there is flowing water and no one has found it yet lol.
  11. Yes, that's how I do it, I have both OS installed and when you boot your computer you can choose what OS to load. I use Linux purely for KSP at the moment. Windows for everything else. Linux is free also and I recommend Ubantu, which will also installed the boot menu for you.
  12. Linux is the answer, I've never once experienced the kraken nor encountered memory related crashes or mod related crashes and I play with upwards of 50 mods since 0.19 In fact since 1.0 I don't believe I've even had a crash or bug.
  13. You can actually, just add the new requirements to your current station (more crew space, etc) and the contract will complete.
  14. Just popping in to say love the mod and that your avatar drives me up a wall lol. Thanks for a great mod.
  15. Look at KSC from Google Earth, they are all still there. South of the main 2.
  16. I was hoping for an ESA or SpaceX post too... Oh well, I seem to be the minority that feels this is dumb as hell lol.
  17. I just put 3 in GSO. 1 above KSC and the others positioned as to where they all 3 have constant line of site with each other much like your picture only at GSO altitude. Each GSO sat has 1 omni (5mn range) and 3 of the small dishes. The dishes point at the GSO sats to the flanks and the 3rd to the active vessel, the omni creates connections with all my ships in the Kerbin orbit and the 3rd dish connects any ship around the 2 moons. When I'm ready to go outside the Kerbin system I just put 2 more sats up (1 dish, the biggest and one omni (5mn range) about halfway to the Mun on each side of Kerbin. 5 sats total and the entire solar system is covered. The large dish will cover the entire system. The large dish will point at active vessel and the omni will maintain connection with the GSO sats. Out of connection time on inter planetary missions are usually zero unless behind a planet which is normally no longer then minutes.
  18. According to my store profile, 05-13-2013.
  19. I use separators because of their low profile, but only on trajectories that will result in the separator impacting or burning up (such as after Munar transfer or Kerbin deorbit burn etc.) to minimize junk. I also use them when launching multiple payloads on a single vehicle.
