  1. bruh I’ll have to re-fix it later lmao
  2. good catch, changed the tail rotors to contra-rotating
  3. Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow To control the heli, start by controlling the rotor collective with Translate U/D keys I and K. Then, set the throttle to slightly below 1/3. Parts: 351 Weight: 23t Length: 13.6m Top Speed: ~35m/s AH-64D on KerbalX
  4. WIP AH-64D Apache Longbow sitting at 314 parts probably gonna have trouble keeping it stable in flight...
  5. Thank you, I appreciate that! I completely understand that. I usually to stick to using stock cockpits for the same reason, it seems more kerbal/in spirit of the game. In fact I think only 3 of my 17 posted craft use solar panels cockpits, but I think for some craft that I want to look as close to IRL within reason, I place aesthetics/performance above that. Some craft have unusual cockpit geometries where if a stock cockpit were used, it would really only detract from the quality of the replica. I think the Ah-1Z and Mi-24 are a good example of this in my case:
  6. So after fiddling with BG servos a bit more, I decided to give my F-14 some more love and completely visually revamp it. I managed to greatly reduce wing flopping as a result of G-forces overpowering the small servos, so this should be a bit more enjoyable to fly. Grumman F-14B Tomcat Parts: 277 Weight: 29.9t Length: 14.2m Top Speed (asl): 315m/s F-14B Tomcat on KerbalX
  7. Here's my F-4B Phantom II stock replica, enjoy! McDonnell Douglas F-4B Phantom II Parts (w/Drop Tanks):178 Weight: 27.92t Length: 14.9m Top Speed (asl): 320m/s my other american aircraft As a side note, I’d highly recommend you only drop the tanks when not exerting any G’s on the craft, since the landing gear on the drop tanks are autostrut-locked to the rest of the plane, it appears to screw up the wing part positioning and somewhat ruins the aerodynamics.
  8. Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II STOVL Parts: 254 Length: 12.4 Weight: 26.5t Download _____________________________________________________________________________________________ To take off vertically: -Set throttle to 75-90% -Press AG2 and AG3 to set the plane into STOVL mode -Press AG4 to engage the Lift-fan turbines -Stage to start the Jet engine my other american aircraft
  9. Yes, but since using thrust exhaust diversion ports on the wings for roll stabilization is not possible, certain control axes are assisted with reaction wheels. The main issue I encountered was the difference in engine spool-up time between the rotors and jet engines, but I think I've gotten it to be as clean as I can. Edit: I'm gonna try to do this so no reaction wheels are used
  10. WIP F-35B VTOL it was very tricky trying balance the jet-lift fan engines settings for VTOL, but it actually hovers pretty nicely. Just have to make it prettier now...
  11. This craft is beautiful, how long did you spend on it?
  12. very impressive what kind of fps did you get taking that screenshot with all of the airliners?
  13. @katateochi I'm having a slight problem with thumbnails... every thumbnail without an actual craft visible is mine Here's what it looks like from another user:
  14. Bell AH-1Z Helicopter Made with stock and breaking ground dlc parts Parts: 235 Length: 14.3m (with rotors) Weight: 17.99t Top Speed: ~45m/s AH-1Z on KerbalX ________________________________________________________________________
  15. Model has been updated to more closely resemble the Mi-24. Fuselage and tail shortened, wings extended, rotors extended, etc.
  16. WIP AH-1Z, 220 parts rn, having a little trouble balancing stability and lift with the rotors
  17. This looks amazing, really well done. How many parts is it?
  18. Ended up using a Big-S elevon for the tail plane, thanks bro
