  1. I figured out how to use the color tool to select colors for my rockets. However, I would like to take the paint off completely, to have a shiny polished aluminum exterior for some of my rockets. Can anyone offer tips for making my rocket exteriors shiny aluminum? I really like the ability to customize part colors so thoroughly, that is a fantastic tool. Just haven't figured out how to strip the paint off when I want to go that route.
  2. This is PALETTE. A set of customized, TUFX-based color profiles for KSP to spice up your game's visuals. This is a continuation/expansion/replacement of my original mod, the KASA Flag Pack and TUFX Profile. THE PROFILES! There are 10 profiles in total. They are: Lighthouse V2: An improved version of Lighthouse, with boosted contrast, color saturation and improved auto exposure. A map-friendly version is included. Aperture: A black-and-white color config designed to resemble such images taken with modern cameras. Lighthouse: The standard profile. An updated version of Orbit with a slightly warmer, more natural tone. A map-friendly version is included. Spheres: A VERY intense, VERY bluish profile. Meant for use in cool environments. Luna: A muted, more neutral tone meant for environments such as the Mun or Dres. Kerbosawa Mode: A black-and-white profile meant to emulate Ghost of Tsushima's Kurosawa Mode. Baldwin: A reddish profile, meant for use in places like Duna or deserts. Orbit: The mod's old standard profile. It has a bluish tone and bright lighting. Heisenberg: A gritty, yellowish tone based on Breaking Bad. The Really Old One: My very first profile, the one included in the original mod. HOW TO INSTALL: Download and install TUFX. Delete any previous versions of PALETTE. If you also have the original "KASA Flag Pack and TUFX Profile" mod, delete it. The contents of that are now bundled here. After downloading PALETTE, move the "Palette" folder into your GameData. Enjoy! DEMO IMAGES: Kerbin. (Lighthouse) An Orion orbiting above the Mun. (Luna) An Orion and ICPS during a trans-Munar injection. (Luna) An Orion capsule hanging from its parachutes. (Lighthouse V2) A crew posing for a photo with their lander. (Aperture) An SLS launching to orbit. (Kerbosawa Mode) A lander preparing to descend to Duna's surface. (Baldwin) A fighter pilot flying over an airbase. (Baldwin) A shuttle flying to orbit. (Heisenberg and Lighthouse) It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that PALETTE be used in conjunction with other visual-enhancing mods. The demo screenshots were taken with EVE Redux, Scatterer, Planetshine, Distant Object, JNSQ and Waterfall. Download from Spacedock v3.3, 27 November 2022 Licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 License TLDR: You are free to share, copy, modify, and redistribute this mod as long as you credit the original author (in this case, me). It CANNOT be used for commercial purposes. Changelog:
  3. Take your visuals to the next level. A set of TUFX profiles to enhance your visual experience. Make KSP look more realistic than ever before. PROFILES Four profiles are included, all with their own characteristics: REALISTIC My attempt at creating a profile as close to real life as possible. High contrast and sometimes quite bloomy. Works well during all times of day, in all situations. VINTAGE Similar in essence to the realistic profile, just with a warm, filmic and grainy look. NEUTRAL Also similar to realistic, but with a more familiar KSP look. For those who don't want anything over the top. B&W Black and white film look. Great for old-timey screenshots. INSTALLATION 1. Install TUFX. 2. Download the profile and drop it in the GameData folder. 3. Select the profile of your liking in the TUFX menu in-game. 4. Done! CHANGELOG v1.0 - Original release. v1.1 - New profile added: B&W. For optimal results, make sure you have other visual mods such as EVE, Scatterer and PlanetShine installed. Download the profiles

  5. TU / SSTU Color Presets The following config file is intended to replace the stock SSTU list of colors for the recoloring option that can be used on any SSTU part to give it custom colors. This is a list of colors I use in my game-play and should give a large variety of gloss, metallic and matte color options. You can always add your own colors ofcourse by editting the cfg file for colors. Notice I mention colors a lot? Colors... SSTU Color Presets Spacedock [v1.11 11-04-2021] Works for SSTU/TU release for KSP 1.9.1 running on KSP 1.11.x To install: Unzip the archive and move the contents in the /GameData folder to your ../KSP/GameData directory. * note: upon installation this may effect some of the stock colors. REQUIREMENTS You need the following items installed to get these colors to look like they should. - SSTU 0.10.46.158 or later download link - KSP 1.6.1 or later, running in 64-bit mode and forced to DirectX11 TIPS TIP: Change the length of the recoloring GUI in the in-game Textures Unlimited settings menu. TIP: Specular and Metallic sliders It may sometimes not be evident which slider to use for what effect when changing existing, or making you own colors: - Specular: The amount of shiny. Setting to 0 will make the color matte, setting to 255 will make it a mirror gloss. - Metallic: This is basically a contrast slider, raising or lowring contrast from reflections. Set to 0 and it will be flat, set to 255 and you will get light to dark bands that exagerate the lighting. Specular 0 and Metallic 0 will give a matt paint effect, while specular 255 and metallic 255 will give a super metallic mirror effect. Warning: The higher the specular and metallic values, the darker it will look in space as there is no light source to reflect like with the omni-directional lighting in the VAB. Keep this in mind when using colors that look like mirrors in the VAB. Enjoy!
  6. For some reason, the font in my KSP has changed from the standard colors to a blue color. Also, the colors on my maps (trajectories, planets, etc.) changed to different colors. This happened after I used CKAN to install these mods all at once: scatterer scatterer - default config scatterer - sunflare Environmental Visual Enhancements Environmental Visual Enhancements - Stock Planet Config files Before this I had mechjeb and kerbal engineer installed with no issues. For troubleshooting I have tried uninstalling all mods and deleting all my files and re-installing via steam. Nothing has worked, the text is still blue. Does anyone have any advice on what could cause this, or how to do complete clean reset of KSP to resolve it?

  8. Hey guys, there was in idea in my mind for a long time, i decided to make a suggestion for it; Color filters! As many of you know, similar engined game "Cities Skylines" has color filter option where you can select filters to apply, so i thought why ksp cant do that too? They both have same engine, Unity 5! Imagine doing a moon landing mission with Black & White filter, or saturated flight in Laythe? Wouldnt it be pretty?. Here are some screenshots to help your imagination; Soo, what do you think, worth to implement?
  9. Forgive me if this has been requested before or currently exists in some manner and has eluded my Google-Fu, but I would be grateful if someone could implement an addon that would allow color balance and saturation adjustment from within KSP. I'm currently using a third party injector (ReShade) to accomplish this, and it's relatively effective, but I'd much prefer something a little more native with less overhead. It might just appeal to my personal taste, but here are some examples of what I'm trying to accomplish: Before After Before After
