How to Land on other planets?

Recommended Posts

  Hello!

I have a burning question for you... how do you land on other planets? I can fly and everything,

but I don't understand the prograde and stuff like that, or the Map tools. I NEED help!!!

What I mean is, i can launch, and get into orbit,  but I can't, like, land on the moon. I don't understand how to dock( I just select the target and click target on the NavBall) I tried the tutorials. They Dont Help.

A bit more information on where you're at would help :P

You say you can fly, do you know how to reach orbit yet? Are you able to actually reach other planets and you're just confused about landing? We can't really say much other than "do the tutorials, read the guides, watch the Scott Manleys" unless we know exactly what you're having trouble with.

Landing on other planets is pretty much the same as landing on Mun.  If you can do one, you can do the other.

As others have suggested, do the in--game tutorials.  There are also scads of YouTube videos out there that teach the basics of the game's instrumentation, such as it is.  Just know up front that KSP has woefully inadequate in-game instrumentation and documentation for the whole thing of space flight.

You need to become intimate with the nav ball.  Without a good understanding you won't be able to do any of the fun stuff. Time to beef up your ksp knowledge.  Go watch some you tube videos, too much to explain without knowing your specific struggle.

See the nav ball...

Be the nav ball.....
