Scott Manley's Stream Hijacked

I haven't seen any thread on this so I thought i would let people know. Any subscribers of Mr Manley will have noticed that 'he' has posted several live streams of Fractured Space. These add up to something like 60+.

Here are a couple of videos that explain it.

 

 

Well, he lost over 10K subscribers during it. Just to let every one know, Scott has sorted it out now so if you unsubscribed just to not get spammed, you can now re-subscribe!

Yeah, My subscriber feed had a huge amount of videos, hey was anyone on that "Stream" where that one guy tried keeping it open so it wouldn't get worse? Someone in the chat was putting a steam key I think, I don't think it was the actual on, but if it was, that guy was a dick

Anyway, I hope his subscribers come back.

For YouTube streams, somewhere in the stream page there should be an "emergency shutdown" button, that the streamer can click that shuts down the stream and kills the stream key.

I am not sure if this kind of thing happens often, but he should have been able to change his key at least but he said YouTube wouldn't let him.

After Scott Manley finished his last stream, he wasn't able to turn if off. As this was causing confusion, several people began posting random content (apparently including porn). Scott has now lost several YouTube rights, and lost over ten thousand subscribers. I hope the problem gets fixed soon.

It seems like many of the first videos were people trying to occupy the stream so that no one could post anything bad.
