Yeah, it was really interested in the camera.

Stage 2 has crossed the mid-Atlantic ridge! It's amazing how fast these things go.

Still fills me with joy seeing that thing standing there after the flames clear. Absolutely majestic. Have to fight the urge to cheer loudly every time so I don't wake my flatmates

Has yet to get routine............

Four for the last five, and the failure could be seen to land before the leg collapsed.

Anyone know what the payload is?  All I see is Thaicom 8, and "supersyncronos" (which I take to mean a circular GSO around the equator).  Is it more massive than the last one (which was expected to punch another hole in "Of Course I Still Love You")?

Thaicom 8, a geosync coms sat providing comms relay for thailand and indonesia (i think indonesia)

God if this isn't the most painful wait ever! Only 47K watching the livestream! Why?!

Also, the music is great

It said India, Africa, and somewhere else. So, yeah.

I was just about to write about the new replies, but then another reply came up. Now, there are 3! The amount of SpaceX hype has reached new levels!

EDIT: 3 more new posts one second after I posted this!

Quick peek at Wikipedia failed to find the mass of the bird. But i would assume it's lighter than the previous payload, thus requiring less fuel from the 1 stage.

Mass was three tons.

Only 38K now...

Well, most exciting part is over now :) The most important part - placing the sat in the proper orbit IS routine. So people trickle out already. In Europe its around the midnight already.

Here is the tweet for those who didn't see the landing.

Wow, really concise. Don't they realize the importance of what they're doing? Never mind, the person who wrote it was probably too busy partying to bother writing a better post. Look how excited they are, there isn't even any punctuation!

The wiki article must be changing every sec!

I know! After the first landing (CRS 8?) I checked the Wikipedia article about five minutes later. It was already updated.

Also, EVEN MOAR REPLIES!

Firing second stage again.

Edit: Looks like it's into it's transfer orbit. The satellite will do the GEO insertion, I suppose?

The satellite usually does its own insertion, yes.
