Launching 64 Bit From Steam Shortcut

This is technically a Steam question, but I thought I'd ask it here first since it pertains to KSP specifically. 

Can I modify a shortcut on my PC to launch the 64 Bit version of KSP through Steam's launcher?  I currently have a shortcut on my desktop which runs the following:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 220200

 

This launches the 32 bit client which I had in previous version just replaced with the _x64 equivalent, essentially fooling the launcher.  I would like to avoid that if possible.

1. Open Steam and go to the KSP page

2. Properties -> General -> Set Launch Options...

3. type in the following: "the path of KSP_x64.exe" %command%

ex: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\KSP_x64.exe" %command%

4. run KSP as usuall

5. enjoy your 64 bit KSP!

6. ???

7. PROFIT!!!!!!!

I found I don't need to use the Steam client to launch KSP. You can launch ksp.exe or ksp_x64.exe yourself from the Steamapps \ Common folder, or make your own shortcuts to these. You can then play with other Unity command line options too.
