Change Navball Orientation

Recommended Posts

If you want to change the navball size and position on HUD go on settings as indicated by @Geonovast

Esc -> Settings -> Scroll all the way down.  Last slider.

If you need to change the orientation of the navball from a reference point (orbit, target, surface) click on the upper part of the navball where is displayed your relative speed.

Then if your navball is oriented like on a 90°plan or is facing down, you need to right-click on your pod and switch between control points

Hope it'll help

Those I've got. And neither what I'm looking for.

The was/is a button available that when you clicked on it would cycle through, normal, reversed, forward, and would change the "zero" point of the nav-ball.

Kind of found it. It is the button "control point" but it only appears to be available on probe cores.

It should also show up on all command pods and docking ports.

I don't know about should or all, but it does show up on some.

Doesn't show on the Mk2 Cockpit or the clamp-o-tron port. But does on the Mk1-3 pod

I could see not adding it to plane cockpits or docking ports. UI clutter is bad enough that you really need to think about how often a button is going to be used. Wanting to control a cockpit from the front because when landed it's a rover is one thing, wanting to control a docking port or airplane backwards is another... with a lot fewer use cases.

I believe we have no bug here, but instead a misunderstanding of the feature.
