How to switch between Spaceship/EVA Kerbals

Hey there,

I'm pretty new to KSP and I'm currently stuck at this one contract. I need to rescue this one Kerbal out of it's orbit around Kerbin. I have an idea on how to get close to him but I'm not really sure how to switch to him and control him via EVA. I heared it should be possible via the brackets "[" and "]" but since I'm playing with a german keyboard, this doesn't work. Is there a way I can change the key-bindings?

On my Norwegian QWERTY keyboard it is the buttons immediately to the right of my "P" key

The settings option available from the opening menu screen has an 'Input' tab which allows you to change the key bindings.

The [ and ] keys allow you to cycle between different controllable objects in the vicinity.

stupid question, can't you just use the map view and select "switch to" from there?

I would do it that way, If that doesn't work it means I've never had to do it which seems odd to me

(something noone explained: you need to be less than 2km away from him in order to use the hotkeys)

I believe that pressing the 'C' key should do the trick.
