Now lets see a cloud car chase - Your StarWars replica are spectacular.

That Movie was so boring, i started to fiddle in KSP while continuing to watch... as i plan a large base project on Duna, once 1.1 is out, i started constructing a science probe to gather some data on Dunas surface.

What did you build two years ago?
Frank_G replied to Azimech's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I built a large scale Duna base, using Constellation style landers and rocket powered VTOL spaceplanes. Mods used those days were Infernal Robotics, KWS Rocketry, Kerbal Attachment System and RealChute, besides Procedural Fairings. [edit] - I forgot to mention the Kethane Mod, ScanSat and RasterPropMonitors. ...and explored the Joolian system ...landed probes on all of Jools moons... ...and i really miss the mod with those awesome stockalike VTOL engines... -
The "You know you're playing a lot of KSP when..." thread
Frank_G replied to Phenom Anon X's topic in KSP1 Discussion
You know you play a lot of KSP when you can´t recall what else you have done that day... -
I took some time experimenting on my Ares Launcher and pure SRBs as first stage. The new variant is less replica but more versatile for different mission approaches. The craftfile and detailed infos are available here. Enjoy

Continued some tests on solid rocket boosters... Behold SCIENCE!!!!

Wow... 8.000 dV to return from Eve? Back in ye olde days, it was close to 12.000... this means, a much smaller lander can be used. Awesome! Thanks a lot!

Today i built and tested a Kerbal version of the Ares I launcher. The craft performed pretty well, so i took some time to fine tune it. An Orbital Utility Vehicle sits on top of the rocket, capable of carrying 3 Kerbals into orbit. It has plenty of dV left, when reaching orbit, so it can perform various tasks and orbital rendezvous´ with ease. The craft is available for download in my craftfile thread.

Thank you for more than two years of fun and adventure. Looking forward to whatever comes

That is EVE: Environmental Visual Enhancements. You can also add Planet Shine for some nicer ambient light handling.

Just clicked this super small spacestation together... roughly inspired by Skylab... It holds 2 Kerbals, carries a lot of science instruments and is fully modular. Sadly the de-orbit module only holds 1 Kerbal... well you cant have everything...

Things will not only becoming more easy, new concepts like SSTO spaceplanes and other complex vehicles are now within reach. Congratulations

Very nice in all aspects. Well done

I started to overhaul my craftfile thread and added 3 new craft: You´ll find detailed info and screenshots here.

Go as modular as you can go - use as much as needed and as less as possible. Make sure the base can be rearranged, if you need to adapt to unexpected situations or contracts.

The release of the really not so complete and little buggy 1.0 was a bit hasted by Squad, but honestly, i had more than a year of fun for just 20 bucks. I dropped my criticism here on the forums and continued to enjoy KSP. But hate? No. And rant? Noone deserved it here. Pay 500 bucks for a buggy smart phone - no problem... 3.50 per day for energy drinks - yay... But 20.00 for months and months of fun - no way... those ignorant devs ruined it all... Some people should really start to learn to control themselves. Giving constructive criticism and jlook at things with open eyes is good, but no need to explode out of the trousers like the Hulk on a bad day...

You don´t achieve much in this game, when you don´t really like to use your brain, have patience, be creative, like to explore, build and plan. When i look at other forums, i see lots of gamers, who want to stand out, show their clicked together achievements and amount of gathered points. Some want to beat a game, not play it, and then show their so called superiority to others... all this does not work in KSP... KSP attracts people who are by a natural mean much more focused and self confident. They try, they fail, they learn, they go again and they succeed. And this is reflected in this forum by a large degree... take a look at the Star Citizens or Elite Dangerous forums... Players rant against players... Players rant against the product... Players rant against the Devs, the website, the updates... rant rant rant... This forum here has one, if not the nicest fanbase i have ever encountered - and it is like this for many years now. All are helping out, giving hints and tips, all playing in a somewhat large team, including the Devs, Players become Devs, help developing Mods and and... Probably there are so many of these team players here, because it is one of the prime psychological requirements to be an astronaut, scientist, engineer or what else. There is no hate in this forum... really.
