  1. I know the APAS docking port is a known bug, but has anyone fixed it? I've done some extremely modest modding for my own purposes but I can't seem to work out why the 69 doesn't work.
  2. I'm just wondering if we're at the point where someone could take real world engine stats and plug them into a .cfg? I've edited the Saturn V mod that someone made, and in terms of fuel mass it seems to be correct, but I can't get the thrusts to work out. Real world thrusts seem not to mesh very well into the game, am I missing something?
  3. Aha, in fact I'd already download that xls and forgot all about it, thanks.
  4. Hey Nathan, I've been having a (very cursory) look at some .cfg files, and I'm just wondering how the in-game parameters relate to reality? I'm looking at FASA.cfg in the RO folder, and LR-87 the ratio of N2O4 to Aerozine looks to be approx. 54 to 45, whereas Wikipedia (Like I said, cursory) says it's 1.93/1. Also, is there an online source for amounts of fuels carried on spacecraft? Thanks for your perseverance Nathan, this game would be nowhere without modders like you.
  5. Ah that's alright then. I've been pulling my hair out enough over RO without any help from this too. Take your time mate, and good luck with the exams.
  6. Hi Dragon, I got your mod and have been having some trouble with my (without any payload) Soyuz vehicle, it's only posting 6747 delta-v according to Mechjeb. Though reading the rest of the thread it looks like it isn't up-to-date for .23, is that the case?
  7. Thanks for that, it was in a 517x128 orbit when the upper stage ran out of fuel. I'll try some experimenting later.
  8. Thanks guys. Also I'm a big fan of the FASA mod so I got the RO FASA patch. The Gemini Titan (the one without the SRBs) won't reach orbit. Nor will Mercury. Also the upper tank of the first stage of the Gemini Titan isn't resized. Am I missing something?
  9. First of all, this is a great mod. I jumped straight into (a slightly tweaked) career mode, and I'm really paying for it. :/ Anyway I'm just wondering if the line of present orbit (the blue one) is supposed to be visible through the planet? Pic: http://imgur.com/LLiRHh4 If it is intentional, uh, how can I turn it back? Thanks for the mod, David
  10. Which would give me lots of small bays, not one long one.
  11. That's great, I've wanted to try and lengthen that MOL bay myself, how do you do it?
  12. RCS often don't fire continually but in very short bursts. I'm pretty sure I've heard the RCS on Apollo CSM/LM tapes, a sort of cracking, popping sound. That would be a great thing to hear in the game.
  13. The problem I've had looks to be the same as the one in the video Selgad linked in post #2758. I've got 12.5.2 now and it seems to be working properly. Thanks Ferram.
  14. Hey Ferram, first of all, great mod! (Also I can only use a phone for this at the moment, so apologies if this has been covered) I've been playing 12.5.1 (just noticed you've updated but haven't had a chance to try it yet) on a modded .23, and if I set a Pe to ~20k to reenter, once the ship gets to around 68k the ship starts to 'vibrate' around an axis, so much so the G meter maxes out and the ship slows to around 60m/s (if it hasn't disintegrated). If I manage to get a parachute out, it still vibrates, but then some strange interaction between the parachute and the vibration can end up making the ship climb back up at a rate of up to 100m/s, then back down, then back up again. This happens with stock or mod parts. If I plan a 40km Pe, this doesn't happen. Sometimes this vibration will fire the ship out on a kabillion m/s route out of the system. Luckily Jeb had stayed behind on board Salyut. I also removed FAR and it seemed to be fine, then returned when I reinstalled it. I don't use any other mods that do anything like FAR, as far as I know. I'll try the update when I get a chance, but thought I'd post so you're aware of it. Thanks for the great mod. David
